I'm 25, (young Blood[:)])

First Tamiya Ever set eyes on was a Frog that an older child across the alley had when I was 9 or 10. That Started it all. First Hobby class was Futaba fx10 around the same age, maybe a little older. I did get away from Tamiya around 16 to go to the faster Bolink style pan cars. I've returned, about a year ago and don't ever plan to stop, or stear away again.

Bunch of bleedin kids! July 28, 1953. Yes for you youngsters, thats the big 50. The good part is I have the skills, patience and most important, funds to really do this hobby right. I bought my first ever RC car this year. Had planes, but no cars. Bought a Brat cause I have three. I am just beginning at 8 cars.[8D]

I hit the big 3.0. just 2 months ago. I started collecting Tamiyas 2 years ago and now I feel like I'm 15 again - that's WHEN I first owned my first Tamiya, a Striker. Just up to two years ago, I've only owned 2 Tamiya cars in my whole life (Striker and Vanquish). When I rediscovered Tamiya's, I was immediately hooked on the vintage kits. I always wanted a Bruiser.

Yes, 1 day is very insignificant on so many years! VERY insignificant... [;)] LOL

I am still 17 myself, and that mean the Dutch governement of ours allows me to have a shot on taking my drivers licence in exactly 6 months! They are mad. [:o]

24 april 2004 is the day. So that 6 months was actually plus 1 day, but who cares about a day these days? Just half an hour now and I'm 17.5 years old! [:P]

At the same time, it really bothers me. I will be 18 soon. Don't you know what that means? I won't be officially kid anymore! I will be considered adult! [:(] But looking at all of you guys, I should have lots of childhood left. [8D]

People seem to notice it about me, most strangers don't call me 'kid' or 'youngman', but 'Sir', seriously! [:o] 'Sir Sjoerd', I can live with that. [;)]

Hi all, just thought I'd latch on and say that I am 27 and am living in Gods country........Wales. I've been into R/c cars since I was about 12, but only recently have I got back into it, as money now is less of a problem to when I was 12 (and skint!!).

My fav. cars are the porsche 959, monster beetle, lunch box and boomerang, although I am partial to the optimas of Kyosho.

Anyway, thats my 2 cents,

Cheers all!![:D]

I'm 38 - It's great getting back into this hobby now, got more money to buy the toys, and more experience to build them better. Only trouble is that with responsibility comes less time to play with them..

Noticed from the "first car you saw run" forum that most people seem to be around the same age.

It would be interesting to find out how old everyone is[:D] I bet we are all re-living our childhoods!![:D] I know I am[:D]

I am 31.[:0] My birthday is 23 September 1971.[^]

Well I'll be 36 and the first R/C car that I saw run that was worth a hoot was an old Parma. That was about 1975. In 1981/82 I bought I holiday buggy.

35 now, 36 middle of next year. I have had several different toys over the years, trials bikes from 8 years old (probably why i missed out on r/c

At 17 got first vw beetle, then got into grass track racing, then water skiing (too cold in the uk for this) sold boat to get beetle convertable, then came monster beetle.

This is a good way of me not stripping the 1:1 beetle down again, just built a hot motor for the VW this year for something to do, now its in the garage so MB is a good replacement....... for now?
