Whats your Real Car

Recommended Posts

Civic Type Rs do look the part , wheels are great!

Claire 26k for a Cossie!? Must of been showroom condition .

You can pick cossies up for 12-18k depending on the mods [?]

Cant see how a mini has poor build qualitity though?

I really enjoy racing people in fast motors round corners , its well funny people in new 15k cars strugling to keep up with a 40 year old design mini [:D] well untill a straight road appears [V]

I have a 1275 GT which is in need of help. If you live close to Norwich or Bury St Edmounds please come over and help. I drive a small CRX for the time being until the clubby is up. Oh yeah, 97 blazer rules!!!!!!!!!

Before i had them referbished they were on my mates 1978 850, he had it resprayed ferrari yellow and it looked the buisness!

Personally i dont like the original trim&wheels they make it look like a grannys car, bet it wont be long before you start modifying yours.

Only standard MK1 minis are worth any real value.

Very nice!

I always wanted a set of 13" superlites but couldnt be bothered with cutting the arches.

What engine you running ?

Thats one great thing about the clubby its got more room under the bonnet, you can get a honda 1.6 vtec conversion for it! [:D]

Good job lewis looks much better now.

Doesnt seem to be much rust around which is a bonus.

What out for rust under windscreen though , mines going there and its a *** to put right.

bone_mallone dunno who your talking to but ive only got a 998 under my bonnet [:(]

CLubbies are great for engine conversions as you said Vtecs fit as do 2.0L vauxhall lumps [:0]

My Car is probably the blandest, most boring heap on here.

A 1996 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 GLS BUT......

It cost me less than a NIB Isuzu MU 58152 (£150)

Why, the head gasket had gone, I spent £65 on gaskets and a head skim and it's been running fine ever since. (Did the rest of the work myself)

I have a boring Astra diesel for everyday - but when the sun is shining out pops my 1985 Ford Capri 2.8i special - smiles per mile are ace - miles per gallon is not so ace. Also have a slightly modded 1968 Singer Chamois (upmarket Hillman Imp) in bright orange

Well lads what can i say 1/1 cars have cost me more money than Tamiyas, Hard to beleive i know.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade and when i was at college at about 18 years old the main intrests in my life was Fast cars and loose women or was that fast women and loose cars?[:P].

Anyway i started off with a old Ford Fiesta Super Sport(ever heard of em?)and even though it was a measily 1.3cc [xx(] i messed about with it stripping souping up the engine (gasflowing, porting, rebore, better pistons, lightened crank, Twin fortys, 3inch exhaust and 4 branch manifold ETC), the car was so loud i used to have complaints from the neighbours who say they could hear me from a mile away [|)], And then one day it got pinched [:(], What a waist of time.

Sinse then i've had 2 Phase 1 RS turbo's, 2 phase 2 RS turbo's, 2 Escort RS turbo vans which i built myself, 2 XR3I cabrio's, 2 XR2's, 1 205 GTI, 1 MG metro turbo and a 306 GTI6, now i've learnt and slowed down after numerous points, must be getting old [V].

Now i drive an Astra [|)].

My 1:1 ride is without question boring.

1997 Chevrolet Astro Cargo Van. Plain white paint. Boring. However I can fit a whole mess of models inside!
