Here are some pics of my latest adventures in to the great unkown.

nothing like a three day trip into california's mining history. We spent the first day near the Reward mine. Not a lot of 4wd there but you can drive almost a 1/4 of a mile into the shaft. The next day we hit up a place call Long John Canyon. This one had been washed out so it was a little more work for the trucks. That afternoon we went and spent the night in a ghosttown. The base of the mountain was at 4100ft and when we parked it was 8202ft in just under 15miles of driving.(Nice slope huh). Temps never got above 32F at the ghosttown. We finished the trip with a nice 6 level mine near the site.

That looks like fun. Did you have to reverse all the way out of that mineshaft? (remember the 3 point turn gag in Austin Powers anyone?). Hope you didn't breathe too much carbon monoxide.

Lol- Nope got to do a big old 3 point turn at the end. This thing was huge. We got three cars in cut the motors and then started the hike into other areas. All in all we spent a lot of time exploring different areas. We had a section that was 5 10ft ladders going straight up as well many off-shoot shafts.
