GTA SanAndreas, your verdict??

having played GTA 3 and GTA Vice city to death, i was very pleased to get home friday morning from leeds city centre with a copy of GTA SanAndreas game. the first thing that i noticed was the size of the map, it looks twice the size as vice city. after a few hours playing the game i thought oh my god theres so much to do, and to find. one thing i did find very amusing was the names of the horses in the betting shop!!! []

I believe the game is pretty solid: excellent story, music and gameplay, all of which we had seen before on GTA III and GTA:VC.

What bothers me a bit is the overall "darkness" of the graphics. I swear there have been misions where abosulety nothing can be seen (like the one you have to rob some rapper's lyric sheet).

And is it just me or does this entry of the GTA series have much more slowdow?

True, the amount of things you can in the game is astounding, but, then again, you could also lots of things in GTA III.

Very good game, but it just doesnt feel as fresh as its two predecessors.

I havent got it, but i have been looking on some GTA forums, and almost everyone has commented on the size of the Island/country/whatever it is. Also ive heard its alot more violent than Vice City.

By the way, on Vice City, is the last misson the one where you kill Sonny? Cos ive done that and the end credits have rolled(for about 10 minutes) but it says ive only completed 49% of the game?

im not gonna get SA tho, dunno y, just not.

The map in SA is supposed to be 5 times the size of the city in Vice City.

petrolhead - The reason it's only 49% is because you haven't completed any of the extras like collecting various items or the special missions.

I don't have a ps2 [] so cannot do San Andreas yet, ho hum another year or so for PC release [][] I've heard its pretty cool though and radio stations 10 times better than VC [8D]

Half Life 2 in 13 days though [][][8D]

hey i just ordered it. i have played it before though matt(matt2000) and i modified a car with nitrous, bye bye cops is the phrase i used i think[][]

Don't have a PS2 but GTA-SA looks good, liked the other titles in the series. BTW, I'm waiting for HALO II[8D]

Yeah I bought that the other day great game I like the fact that you can change the players apperiance and the skill thing is a nice touch. I had to turn the brightness up on my tv to play it though. Wont be playing it for much longer though with Halo 2 comin out soon so will be on xbox live 24/7.[]

O.K. heres a guess, Police brutality use to come in the form of a beating with a heavy rubber hose, injuries from hits with this are more internal and skin marking is minimal when hit in the kidneys or stomach but really painfull. This could be a variation on a theme. Can you use it as a weapon? Thats my first and last guess on this one.

Get it! it is truly amazing[^] I have played many many hours and still can find much wrong with it. Well other than the map could be a little bigger when you look at it in the map mode. Lowriding, girlfriends, eating out, betting, bmxing, motocross & much much more.

Even had to get the new Playstation 2 Slim version with built in network adaptor to play it on as my old one is pass it, now thats a nice machine![] Could starta new topic on that one Eh?[]
