Gumball-Choose your car.

Ok, lets say you had the chance to enter the Gumball in a car of your choice. Any car at all. What would you choose?

If I was being sensible I'd go for a new Alpina 7 series (I'm now an Alpina nut) seeing as they can do just a fraction under 200mph, and they are comfy.

If I went all out nutter, it would have to be a Lambo Gallardo.

Take your pick.

If I wanted to win the event : Probably a V6 Vectra or Mondeo. They look like a repmobile, nobody gives them a second look but they will sit at 140-150mph all day and cops wouldn't even look at it.

If I wanted to go fast in comfort, probably a Brabus SLR or a Brabus SL 6.3 if I was feeling cheap.

Realistically, the best I could hope for would be a reanted Porsche...!

The new Noble M14. I saw this at the motor show last year and its so nice. Told one of the sales guys that it would look better with a subtle wing on the rear and was then told by another that I was talking to the boss (Mr Noble himself) and was telling him how to design cars. Going along the lines of a car that wouldn't get looked at twice, how about a Brabus EV12? I should think 630bhp in a normal(ish) looking E Class would work pretty well. If I didn't mind being noticed then a Koenigsegg (fastest production car) or ultima GTR (0-100-0 record holder) would do the trick, lol.

I would also chose a fast but relatively comfortabe couple as a compromise between looks and comfort, an BMW M6, Ferrari 612 Scagletti, Merc SLR, Aston Vanquish or DB9, Maserati GranSport, even the new Corvette, if it would be a classic coupe too many choices too list... [8)]

LOL Petrolhead, can't think of many cars that I'd rather drive (as long as it was made reliable) as I quite like Range Rovers myself. I guess failing that I'd have to go with my ALL TIME dream car - a dodge RAM 3500 quad cab XLT pickup truck with dually rear wheels and the biggest engine they do BUT to have a chance in the race a better pickup maye be an Dodge SRT10 with a 500 horsepower V10 and top speed of 150+mph [:0][8D]

just for the comedy aspect it would have to be a mini-a very special mini! twin 1300 suzuki hayabusa engined job made by z cars,both motors tuned by holeshot racing to megabusa spec 200+bhp each,0-60 3.5secs/150+mph, if your brave enough!,sequetial box,rear wheel drive,very very scary and all in a standard looking mini shell![!]

To avoid being pulled over all the time and because I have recently just bought the Mk3 Mondeo V6 Zetec S and know how well they can sit top end on the motorway, its alot of power for little money!

If i was being flash then either Mclaren Mercedes, DB9 or Ferrai F430

All the hp does mean squak if you cannot get it to hook up..... I will stick my original GT500 versus the replicas..... as for my vote, the Porsche GT2.

Stuff the suburban then and just go with a full blown monster truck. Not very quick top end speed but you will save time not having to stop for any reason, including police roadblocks, traffic signals, roadworks, traffic jams, etc, etc, etc
