Anyone remember 'Grange hill' with Gripper Stetson and Rolly? used to rush home from school to see that one.

Other fav's of mine were 'The Avengers' and of course 'The Professionals' (already mentioned). Also 'Dempsy and Makepeace' and for something slightly weird 'Sapphire and Steel'.

Google to the rescue:

The Adventure Game (BBC1 and BBC2, May 1980 to February 1986): In the Game, Earth-people were tested by the alien Argonds by being made to explore rooms stocked with items and quite difficult puzzles in hope of finding drognas (the currency of Arg), payment of which might placate His Highness the Rangdo, who had adopted the body of an aspidistra plant with a tendency to shake and roar when irritable. A recurring puzzle was a simple adventure game running on, naturally, a BBC Micro, so that each week viewers would see fresh contestants sit at the keyboard and twig, eventually, that the “scarlet fish†was a red herring.

Zelda was the evil female boss in Terra Hawks.

I can remember Grange Hill with Booga Benson and Tucker - the first series!

As the Adventure Game - doog yrev, doog yrev.

TC Tamiya nailed one of my 3 all time favorite shows as a kid- Tales of the Gold Monkey!

That was my third favorite- I cant believe somebody did not pick my second favorite- Buck Rogers. Ahh, what a great show. I used to just infuriate my parents, because I would race home from school, so I could catch the opening theme song, and if they had somewhere to go when I got home, and I had to miss the show, I would start throwing a *******in fit! To this day, my relationship is strained with one of my uncles, because on one Christmas day, we went to my Grandparents' house, and I turned on Buck Rogers, and my uncle, just a few years older than me, wanted to watch the Christmas Day Parade, and I would have none of that. Tantrums were thrown, toys were broken and I got my way ultimately.

Oh, and my first favorite of all time- Johnny Socko and his Flying Robot- I used to beg my Grandfather to help me construct my own rocket powered backpack, as it would be much safer and quicker for getting to school, as opposed to walking. Never did get anything more than an old backpack that he connected some wood pieces to and some copper tubing. Oh well.
