Full-size r/c

Anyone see tonight's Top Gear? Hammond and May were tooling around in a quarry with two full-size motors (a Scorpio and an Omega I think)fitted out with full r/c by engineers from Cranfield. They then brought on Krizti Rosenberg (evidently a teenage r/c champion of some sort [?]) with a 5-series BMW for a circuit race where she lapped May twice and then jumped the Beemer into a caravan (there always has to be a caravan involved somewhere...). Brilliantly stupid stuff [8D][8D]

[!] Only caught the last 15 minutes I pressed the info button and it said something about radio controlled cars and I thought [] I missed it. I then went on the website and found out it was full scale and did not feel so bad about missing it.

Did you see the the race between the clinber and the new audi[] Finaly we have an M3 beater[]

Awesome show tonight I thought! RC was hilarious, Audi looked and sounded great plus Ian Wright was a complete nutter!

i think its repeated tomorrow night on one of the BBC channels.

i dont think anything they have done has quite topped the un-killable toyota pickup though, that was awsome [8D]

I saw it myself and didn't think they used the full potential of a full size r/c car. Also suprised they needed boffins from Cranfield to build them, most special effects crews could put them together. With my experience in animatronics I could knock one up myself if someone could stump up the cash for the actuators.

Krizty Rosenberg has regularly won the BRCA Junior under 13s chamionship in touring cars and is sponsored by HPI/Mirage. Still it gave them an excuse to destroy another caravan.[]

Mythbusters regularly build full size R/C cars for their myths, such as the jet powered Chevy Impala. When they fired the rocket they couldn't keep up with a helicopter.

ok all done now. all worked, so if anyone would like a copy, and it's the whole programme, then just let me know. jimbo, how's the quality on a DVD recorder. i've got my PC on 'best' setting, but i still don't think it's as good as it could be.
