It's quite frightening to think how much can be seen from the skies, and I'm sure that there are even higher definition versions of what we can see that are available to the military. I'm just glad that the pics are a while out of date, otherwise it would be a superb tool for burglars to work out escape routes, and see when you are out [:o]

Near where I live, there was a landslide at the seafront a few years back. You can't get to where the land moved as it is all fenced off, but I dowloaded Google Earth, and the sattelite images of it show the full extent of the damage to the ground, including massive cracks in what used to be a nice seaside walkway. Fascinating stuff. I can also see the old tarpaulin I used to have on the workshop in the back of my garden before I fixed the roof a couple of years back.

Also, if you plan a route using the software, you can then get it to play a movie of driving the route, and it avoids cars on the roads as it goes along, top fun [:)]

Yep we are always being watched, CCTC cameras (There are LOADS in Britain infact it is possible for the operators to see into our houses!), images from space, sky e.tc, and from speed cameras.

If any CCTV camera can see in your house then complain to the operators as this IS illegal!!

maybe we should do what they did on The Italian Job - get some grumpy old english bloke to wander around putting random beeping boxes into bins. that should stick it up 'em

Don't worry, whilst the copyright of the images is 2006, the actual images are all well out of date - I think this is probably intentional.

I found that the nearest town to where i live (Ashford Kent) did'nt zoom in very close so was a bit pants, will it be better if i download it again because  it gets updated? I did download my version about 6 months ago

Don't think so, as the data comes from a server not out of the program itself,

so should be updated all the time :)

-luckely- i live in a simular area, no nude pictures of me in the back garden [6]
