What is the "Active" and numbers meaning?

Could someone explain exactly what these numbers mean?

I think it's to keep track of the diarrhea mouths and how many posts they have made.  It appears that Andy is King at this moment

Yesterday, however, I was top of the list... maybe it's for the past 24hrs?

As it is the most active users I presume it is recent posts, probably

24 hours, and the number after is how many posts have been made in that

time.

Or maybe just that Andy should really get back to work??

 

 Also, I guess it depends on time zones?  Many more members on the GMT time line than any other, that would probably effect your ability to get on it, although I could be wrong.
