King Cab differential... Replacement innards...

Does anyone know if it's still possible to get replacement parts for the King Cab / Astute / Hilux Racer differential ?... Mine is fried and I'm desperately in need of new innards and I can't find them anywhere..

The bag with the parts has number 9405515..

Well.. Waddya know.. Going through a lot of my old RC stuff from way back yesterday, I found a couple of new an unused pressure plates, 8 or 9 Differential Spacers as well as a couple of Metal Ball Thrust Bearings - AND , tadaaaa. the missing single Thrust Washer I so desperately needed... So now I have a mostly new, cleaned, rebuilt and re-greased Ball Diff in the old (but new for me) King Cab. Only problem is, the tires are just a liiiitle too big, so I'm actually running 3 Differential Spacers in each side and there's still a slight amount of slippage on the kitchen floor.. Hopefully there won't be any once it hits some sand or dirt (in a few months time)

What type of tires are you using? The bigger the tires, the smaller the pinion should be. Stock KC tires use a 18t pinion, if you use the Monster Beetle type tires use an 16t pinion. Hope you used proper ball diff grease in the diff too otherwise it'll just continue to slip. Good luck

They're certainly too big for my liking.. They came with the truck and I haven't found a suitable set to replace them. You can see them compared to a set of ProLine Speed Hawg 2s here :

As you can see, they're really a bit too massive for the King Cab - Especially if you want to keep the "Race Truck" look..

Any suggestions on tires the same size as the stock King Cab tires are more than welcome !...

And yes - I am using Tamiyas Ball Diff Grease 2....
