UPDATE:

Housten, we have a problem.

At this point, got hold of seller and the guy who surpose to get the hotshot.

Now, the guy in Canada, wants that hotshot.

Only, -my willy- has not arived yet in canada.

Guy expects me to send the hotshot to him, then (there it goes doubtfully) , he notifies me when

the willy has arived in canada.

Seller is terrible slow with email, adding language problem, not so usefull.

But, he did offer to pay the shipping cost (well, in some kind of way ;) )

he does appair to want to solve the problem.

Mistakes happen, not mad at the guy. can happen to any of us.

i got some kind of sad story from the canadian guy about his own lost hotshot (tearjerker) , but

when polite quistions are asked, he does not bother to respond about it.

(ignores them) , and he really wants that hotshot.

At this point, i already offered/sugested  to both to keep it all as it is, it is going to be one

badword of a enterprise (and expencive one) to get it all into place.

would like to have the willy, but hey... the hotshot is hot to :)

At this point, original seller does not respond (yet), the canadian guy keeps mumbling about

that he want to have it send insured as many parcels arive mangeled at his place.

(AUTCH)

that is good news for my willy!  <NOT>

i really want to be honest/fair, but that little voice in my head keeps saying "keep the hotshot, forget about it" , in basic, i have "a" car, i can't lose right?

Maintly i am disturbed about the silence about when my willy if/when actually gets in canada, and when/IF it is going to be send to me.

And, the kind comment about many mangeled parcels does not help eather.

I don't mind fronting the posting cash, but to be honest, not 100% shur that i get it back,

and sending a heavy kit half way around the earth is not that cheap.

In basic, i have car now, can be honest, front the posting fee's , send out the hotshot.

But.. then i am 1: out of a willy , 2: out of posting fee's , 3: no hotshot eather!

Any sugestions?

Buy a new pair of training shoes,so that your feet are comfey as you pace backwards and forwards in your room, while you decide what action (if any) to take.

Good luck with what you decide and let us know how things turn out.

That is a hard decision, and who's to say the guy in Canada doesn't just keep your Wild Willy. Tough call. You may want to be honest, but does he want to be honest?????

thanks guys,

unless by some mirical the willy turns up undamaged at my doorstep i think

the hotshot has find his defenitive home for now at my place,

Don't see the german seller as the problem, he does seems to want to have it worked out,

do have my serieus doubts with the canadian guy.

Don't want to do anyone wrong, but taking a pricy gamble on someone you have

serieus doubts about.. nope

Does the canadian have good feedback? I would wait till he gets the Wild Willy and he makes a pic of it, sends it and provides you his phone number, address and parcel tracking. If he doesn't want to do those, then its his problem/loss.

Is the Canadian a TC member?  I did a deal with a Canadian TC member, no goods and no refund...yet. That was 9 months ago.

'Hope its not the same guy, but I guess there are 32 million Canadians...chances are it's not.

Cheers,

Drew.

Update B)

No, it is no tc member, that would make the case more easy, for me at least.

It is a 100% feedback buyer/seller, not many feedback.. about 30.

I will not post his details here, as i am not shur he is actually frauding or anything.

His story does going a bit thin, next to selling some car manuals he bougt quite some bigwig parts,

and just got a feedback from buying another hotshot, again in germany.

More then dubble he paid for this one.

This hotshot does give me a bit of a bad taste in my month, (nooo, did not chew on it).

Stefan, If it was me, Id be emailing the seller and asking for a refund on the postage at least. This should offset the cost your postage to swap the cars.

Id then send an email to the Canadian guy that has your WW (Wild Willy), (and desparately wants his his Hotshot), and tell him that unless he can offer better communication (ie starts answering your emails) then You will keep the Hotshot. You are happy either way, he wants the Hotshot, YOU have the advantage.

I'd then wait until you receive the Hotshot, and get photos of your WW from the Canadian to see that its OK, Just Like DJTheo said. Id also have the Canadian guy send the WW first, and not send the Hotshot until you get the WW, that way you wont get ripped off, and I beleive Canadian customs can be slow, so there may be a wait.

If the Canadian guy doesnt like this then Tuff Luck, Keep your Hotshot and be happy.

IF you want to be really harsh, and the seller does not want to help on postage, then Id contact Paypal about a chargeback, as you certainly havent received What you paid for.

Back again, with yet another update :)

The problems is (moral one ;) ) i did get a car, and the seller did not do it on purpose.

Did got the hotshot, a nice one actually!

I can't do (or with) to do the paypal chargeback, as i payed with IBAN/BIC to Germany.

More of the amusing bit, today i emailed the guy in canada this one ,

i have removed personal details out of respect for his privacy:

MY EMAIL TO HIM:

Subject: RE: update<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Back again, time difference is big. +- 16:45  here

I understand your point, but please do also understand my position/problem in this.

A)

I have paid for a car, but got the wrong one.

At this point you are asking me to:

- Ship away the car, front the shipping cost ( somewhere between 30 and 50 euro’s) ,

- wait until Bernd sends me the cash for shipping (we are not talking cent’s here)

- wait until  the Willy arrives in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Canada (it is not even there yet)

- wait until you will ship the car to me

- HOPEFULLY the willy survives the transfer to Canada, then makes a quick turn around

and do the same thing all over again.

B)

I sit on my hands, wait until/if the willy shows up in Canada, wait until/if it gets here in the Netherlands

Again.

Then I can figure out how much it is going to cost me to send it to Canada, remember, we have a entire different postal system

Then Germany & ask ***** to send me that amount.

If in the 2e ( B) option for me something goes wrong, I always still have the hotshot,

If in the first (your/ (A) ) option something goes wrong, I am left with nothing accept a load of cash less and a

Empty spot on the shelf.

Trust, yes, fully agree with that, but you can also push your luck.

I buy loads of cars from all over the world, ebay and off ebay, this is the first time for me that this happened,

Up until now I never got burned with buying for the hobby, for  the simple fact I play it safe, If I want to gamble, I go to the casino.

Or paint myself red & go play with bull’s or something.

If you are not happy with this, take it up with ebay, please, be my guest, quite curious how (if) they respond on this actually,

I can’t help it that it all takes a while, blame the postal service for that or the Canadian custom service, as they have the

Strange habit of holding parcels for a long time. Or blame ***** for sending the wrong parcels.

If I wanted to play a game, I did not try to figure out who actually bought that hotshot,

I would just keep silent that I ever got the hotshot in the first place, claimed to ebay that I never got

My wild willy & claim my cash back.

Face the fact, nobody could claim anything else.

The way this is going, I start to wish I actually did, would saved me a whole load of trouble

I have still no problem in doing “the trade†as I suggested, if you not agree with this, so be it,

Don’t hesitate to let me know, then we just leave it as it is now. If you stop reply’ing email,

I will assume the same.

Hopefully your other bought hotshot will arrive without these problems.

 Kind regards, Stefan

 END MY EMAIL

I tried to be polite, but also tried to make my point.

But, the saga does go on!

By mirical i actually got a quick email back from canada,

He got the wild willy, in good shape (including pictures of proof).

Totally ignoring my sugestions & with the following comment:

HIS EMAIL, REMOVED PERSONAL DATA & ADRESS

Please give me your address and I suggest that we agree to send these out on the same day and have confirmations that we have sent the items to show eachother. Shipping charges can be worked out with bernt later. I cannot have you holding my car as ransom until **** pays you for shipping while you also have the willy you want shipped per your arrangement. Please be reasonable.

*****

END HIS EMAIL

And i thought i was stiff headed!

Or am i the one who is making trouble now.

Stefan, you took the first steps (and with that showing your honest intentions)

The Canadian however sounds like a real $#^&*%$ pain in the backside. Let him make the first move.,..wait for Willy, then ask the German for postal money..then send the shot.... IT IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM... do not let it become your problem.

If the Canadian doesn't trust you it is his problem.......

Fully against my nature.. but, -thats it- now i am done with the clown

last email to him:

Are you intentionally ignoring my reasons or just having problems reading ?

But, no worries, you don’t have to reply to that question anymore.

At this point your email address & name is on my spam list, so any future email’s will

Directly be deleted without me even ever knowing about them.

Don’t you just love outlook pro?!

I am tired of spending a hour a email trying to send & translate a decent email if someone

On the other side fully ignoring anything I say.

Put the **** willy on fire for what I care, feed it to your dog or burry it in the back garden.

Congratulations with owning such a nice model
