Afternoon everyone.

I have just recieved a used TT-01 chassis from a member on here and its great.

Now, the question i have is as follows:-

Does it take long to wear a chassis and running gear in?

As i have compared the ball raced one i have bought to my new ball raced chassis that i have used once and the difference is massive. The wheels and gears seem to run better in the used one.

I assume then the new chassis needs bedding in, but how long will this take?

You don't have to run it in. The motor is the only thing you should worry about and since it's not nitro, just run and gun the motor unless you are club racing.  Then you might want to take a bit more care of your motor.

Both chassis have a quality bearing set. Its just the used one runs smoothly.

Im not a club racer so ill put it on bricks and run 5 charged batteries through it to wear in the motor then rag it a bit in the car park to break in the rest bits.

Any tips for running it in?

Avoid pot holes and speed bumps, find a good flat surface, watch out for kids on bikes and cars, and you'll have the best time.  The only thing that will make it better is to get a friend and run with them at the same time.  That way you can let your skills flow.
