Guys,

Just built one of these. Front and rear assemblies are the same as 1/8 buggies in structure. Pretty high quality and fully adjustable. The plastic parts are as stong as 1/10 scale. Could be too strong and too heavy for this size.

The bad thing is about the diffs, pretty hard to build and the diff ball bearings don't sit well, need to apply CA on the diff housing in order for the BB's to fit properly. Building the rest is just like building a Tamiya kit.

This thing is made in Taiwan and distributed in US by Duratrax:

Available in:

1.Unbuilt chassis kit only w/380 motor (about US$75.00)

2.Built chassis kit w/380 motor (don't know price)

3.RTR version (about US$145.00)

Thx.

One more good thing is that you can use mini servos for 1/12 pan chassis such as Futaba S9650 by just cutting the ears on this buggy.

It also features 12mm touring car hex adaptors, many tire choice.

Thx

I was just driving one of these today at my LHS=

Loads of fun and performance to boot. Didn't realise they used 12mm hex. [:o]

Good information to know, Thanks!

The anderson kit version; Does it include full ball bearings? Are the diffs ball type or gear type? Im mainly wondering if the kit specs out any different than the duratrax rtr version. Some of these minis would be great to have, but who needs another cheapo am radio on the shelf? I prefer to install my own electronic equipment.

Jerry,

The MB4 comes with full ball bearings, 2 x gear diffs, aluminum damper stays and oil filled dampers with aluminum caps. Body is trimmed also in chassis kit versions. Triming a buggy or F1 body is always a pain. The different versions should use same parts but Duratrax has different body painting. RTR is basicly for new and rushy people. The speed of the servo in the RTR kit is unacceptable.

Thx

also known as the FTX Blaze or FTX Vendetta in the usa

these are a very good buggy for racing and when installed with the

mamba brushless sytem will curise along at over 40mph, tyres are good

as standard but alot of guys have choosen the tamiya M02 rims with mini

mardave foams.shocks are somewhat of a let down also but will do most

jobs ok.there are a couple of choices for motors, the grapuner 300 6v

is very good and even better is the Gws em300, batterys are the

standard 2/3a size but the cheap kan versions with low mah. these are

always swapped over too either GP1100 2/3a or the United rc battery

packs, both give your buggy more punch and also longer runtimes. li-po

in a stable softcells (lithium polymer) extend the runtimes upto nearly

45mins and speeds in exsess of 50mph with correct gearing. but do have

a tendancy too become unstable after slight damage and can also cause

onboard fires/explosions. overal they are an ideal entry into the micro

world and can preform just as well as the older 1:18th trucks.
