Whats the difference between the two?

are the both 27 turn etc etc?? and how much faster over the std is it?

Standard 540 is 27t and the sport tuned is 23t both have pretty similar design and performance.

Sport Tuned is a bit hotter and faster and in some markets has 27 instead of 23T (Asia I think)

On  the paper it looks a "lot" better as it comes with proper timing while the standard 540s do have zero timing, its efficiency should also be slightly enhanced as the the most balanced motors are close to 21 turn.

I Think the sport tuned is overpriced, for me i could hardly tell the difrence in performance over a silver can .in a tamiya ff01.

Agree, the Super Stock RZ or TZ are much better value for money, ST should cost like a silver can as its almost the same (vintage brushes design, no open endbell)
