I just browsed through the instructions on my new re re Frog real quick and it even says that no threadlock is required for this model. I can't remember my old Frog directions but I know it came with threadlock. Places like the screws on the top and bottom of the front suspension arms and the front suspension uprights and the screws holding the gearbox to the chasis should all have thread lock.

I guess Tamiya just wanted to save money by not giving threadlock. Doesn't matter though, their threadlock was pretty weak I remember back in the 80's so I use a better brand anyway.

One thing I noticed, the directions do not show to put on the tie-wraps on the dogbone boots, but on step 25 the pic shows them on the boots. Just a quirk I noticed.

The drive gear is also aluminum rather than the old brass. I hope they make all the gear bags available for parts because they all wear so quick.

I don't know why, but for some reason the quality plastic of the parts seems different. (not that it should be the same I would think plastic chemistry got better) I just hope it is not lesser quality from the 80's.

Man, I never thought I would ever see a new NIB Frog ever again!....How great, aaahhhhh, the memories. Thank you Tamiya!

Just had a look in my original manual and the only places threadlocked are the bolts for the hubs, the metal plate (which isn't on the new version anyway) and the wheels.  If you ask me though not including tamiya threadlock is a great idea as its absolutedly awful, one squeeze and half the tube empties and goes everywhere.

Yeah, i sympthasize, and i usually squirt a small amount onto a small piece of plastic ( bag or something of the like ), this is so much easier han squirting a weeks supply up your arm.

Although, Tamiya threadlock, DOES Smell unusually nice.. Maybe it's me..
