quattrokid 6 Posted January 26, 2006 I have got my rough avante running, but when i accelerate quickly in forward or reverse, it seems like a clutch slipping!! I know theres no clutch, so what could it be ?/ I am not very familiar with the avante or what can go wrong. Diff or something?? Any pointers gladly taken. Cheers
kontemax 1723 Posted January 26, 2006 It's the central diff. Disassemble it, check all components, maybe it slips. If you have the Egress ball diffs and central one way could be the diffs or the one way that slips but I don't think you have this kit. So the only think that can slip in your Avante is the central spur gear ball diff. Maybe you only need to tight it but check it before. Max
Toykid 595 Posted January 26, 2006 Yes Kontemax is correct. Center ball diff fitted to the Avante. As suggested take it apart and clean it. Make sure you only lubricate the balls and diff plates with ball diff lub otherwise it will not work correctly. Be very careful when you put it back together if you overtighten the small screw that holds the diff together it can snap off in the shaft. James.
