hey i was wondering what rc car magazine you guys read? i get radio control car racer from my LHS, mainly because its the only one they sell that isn't all nitro or all about competition racing. I'm looking for a solely electric car mag if there is one. But hery let me know you thoughts and what you read, i'm looking to subscribe to one soon.

You will probably not find a magazine which does not heavily feature nitro cars because there has been a major swing of interest in that direction for a few years now. Also racing means spending big money (usually) which means big advertising budgets which means magazines promote racing. Thats the way the mags always have been and I have seen magazines going back to the early fifties!

Cheers Paul.

I read RC Car Action or Extreme RC, they both feature Tamiya from time to time. The new Extreme RC has a good write-up on the Blackfoot Extreme.

Hope this helps.[:)]

There is an official tamiya magazine(published bi-monthly)but it rarely features any r/c in it let alone reviews it.

It features static models mainly 1/48 planes,1/24 cars and figures etc.

If your interested in any of the above id definetly recommend it as its of high quality

In the UK there's only Radio Race Car and Racer. Both are aimed at racers, which are the main readers of them. In the past they used to include lots of non racing articles (see Tamiyaclubs vintage review section for examples) but Tamiyaclub is the only group I know of that is not centred around racing. All the American magazines concentrate on IC and monster trucks because that is what sells at the moment. If everyone stopped buying IC trucks and bought electric cars that is what the magazines would concentrate on. If you are looking at subscribing look at the US magazines, at the moment they can be cheaper to subscribe direct than order them over here.
