Alternative to SS cam locks?

I don't have any cam locks for my SS & I just can't justify the cost of replacements for a runner.  I have been using long machine screws & nuts, but it's very inconvenient to open up the radio box to charge the battery pack.  Do other members with runners pay for cam locks or is there a cheap & easy alternative that I'm unaware of?

Depends how " Ghetto " you want to get really doesn't it!

If you go to a HS that stocks RC Planes, you can get " Wing Elastics " they are fairly long elastics that are about 2cm wide and would do nicely on your radio box!

The above, and using cam-locks are the only methods i have seen.

I have to admit, I was hoping for something better than a big rubberband!  I might try to find some small reuseable zipties.  The reuseable ones I have are too wide to fit in the holes.
