sorry for the post racegypt, just am frustrated with myself for buying motors without asking people in here first :D well thanks any way p.s. i do understand what you are saying :). i feel a little embarrased now [:I], thanks for helping me.

hey mud4fun thanks for posting, i dont think i will race competitively i just go down the odd sundays and play with every one. i doubt i can afford to race properly. i also play with my r/c cars on the road out side my house and in the back garden. i have decided to buy a b3 once i have sold off the current projects. p.s. the races at our track are only 5 mins so if i use 7.2 gp 3300 cells i think ill be ok.

so what motor and gearing would you advise me toget, i am really after speed and acceleration as i do not go down to the track as often any more.

thanks,

john

Hmmm never thought about that one... so what tyres should i use for on road [?] I dont really get off road much, unless at a meet [:I] i.e never then [;)] Think i will stick with the Acto Pink then cheers me dear [;)]

On road?[8)] Why don't you better use a tourer for that, it would never perform as good and a waste for those spike tires.

Why don't you try it with the Acto with which it is sold, Tamiya must have though of something [;)]

For long fun bashing, you could put your Sport Tuned, but that and especially the stock 540 would be a bit too few for such a high tech runner. I will use the Acto in mine [8D]

Cheers

Just a question here:

Is the motor included in the Dyna really an Acto Power Pink?

It doesnt have a sticker on the can, and the Acto Power has bearings instead of bushings, doesnt it?

I don't think it is the acto pink, the ball end is sealed and it does not have adjustable timing (just got my Dynastorm yesterday, I'll take a closer look)

No Acto Power, just an ambiguos "14 turns high performance motor".

My question is this: does someone have the specs of this motor(rpm, torque)?

Anyone care to put in one of those Dyno machines that measure these parameters once and for all?

That would be cool to do on as many motors as possible as the measurment methods differ from company to company and year to year, anyone has one? [^]
