RC car movies,why do we watch?

I am not just reffering to the movies on Tamyia Club,but generally?

I was looking for vids of FG Marders/Monster Trucks etc,I was watching them and was thinking "thats cool" then I stopped and thought "I have one of those!"

Most of the time I tend to find movies of cars that I already have,seems a bit odd given I have the car already,is it just because I am more willing to watch someone else destroy their car by doing silly things I wouldn't?

I just watched the new videos "Dyna Storm Madness" and "Brushless Top Force" by Lemming and hey: These are the cars I run the most so you are not alone! []

It's so true!  I am always looking for people running the same cars I run!

Part of the reason I put my vids up.  Nice to show mine rather than just looking at other peoples.  []

Got to be said, not much good at video editting yet, hence getting rihytanimal to help me out.  [:$]  At least I know how to do them now.

I like to see well shot and well edited videos of nice cars in nice environments. I look for realism. I like seeing cars I don't own as I don't get much opportunity to see them running otherwise.

Personally, I watch the TC videos because I don't have the heart to turn my vehicles into runners !  I get a kick out of watching vehicles similar to mine performing out in the "real" world.  Also gives me ideas as to which vehicle I want to purchase when I finally do get a "runner".  Plus - it's fun to watch some of the "carnage" [].
