ALUMINUM FRONT WHEELS FOR THE SAND ROVER

JUST UP DATED THE SAND ROVER PICTURES..ADDED THE ONLY SET OF ALUMINUM FRONT WHEELS I HAVE EVER SEEN...ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY OR KNOW WHO MADE THERE BABYS????

Georgous rover mate. Is that the wheel set that has bearings inserted from the back - so the outside looks "blind"?

I'm pretty sure dirtgypsy is right about
the wheels being CRP. I have a set of rear wheels myself and they look exactly the
same as yours and I read in another thread here that the front wheels are
really rare. I find it a bit strange that the rear tires are easier to find and
don’t fetch high prices. You would think they made an equal number of front and
rear wheel covers. Nice to see a complete set on a car.

Keep in mind that the rear wheels wore out really often so it wasn't uncommon to have 3-4 times of the rears compared to the fronts. 

I'll agree that they could be CRP but I would also throw race prep's name out there as they made similar wheel covers for the Ranger XLT.

NO, Theo, they are front wheels...but while doing this project I notice something on the CRP back wheels...I think I can do a very easy mode and turn them into fronts./with double bearings...My wheels came from ebay about year ago..Just a set of junk wheels and If I had not noticed the tires and the deep offset  and emailed the seller II never would have bought them..

Yo, Theo, you know I am terrible at pictures but I will post a picture of the back of the wheel in my show room...and yes it has two bearings...regards Jerry...Oh, I forgot to add that after looking at how these were made I am pretty sure the rear CRP can be modifided...I would like to do this because the fronts are really recessed...

looks good, i have a pair of those rears but couldnt find any fronts to match so have a set of drilled alloys instead, they almost match front to back. i may be hi-jacking your thread here (sorry) but i have also just got a nice set of alloys for my boomerang, took ages to polish the finish on them as they were a bit dull and kind of matt anodised when i got them.

A set of those just went for $30 USD on eBay the other day. I was really thinking of getting them, but I have to fund too many other projects. []
