EDIT: What we found so far is in this first post so you don't have to read the whole thread.

Please feel free to correct/confirm the following statements:

934 bodies:

-Green (Europe, original kit body, unverified about the Body Parts Set).

-White (Japan and US original kit body and Body Parts Set, also Static Kit)

-Red (Body Parts Set, we could use some more info though).[<:o)]

-Black for the "Black Porsche" (verified).[H]

Note: different driver mount (same as 935):

Following statements are about window tint:

RC-934: tinted (Still open: green/smoke???) except Black Porsche (still unverified)

Static-934: Clear (verified).

Same goes for the 935 windows (verified).

Grtz Dee.

PS @Tamartin: I already tracked down 2 tinted lenses and new tires/rims!!!

I had never seen brown or red bodies. Thats a novum for me.

Someone mentioned it, so I try to get confirmation about that statement.

Thx for reply.

All the Black 934 in TC have clear windows, here is mine http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...25205&id=16 I think only static 934s and 935s have tinted ones as they had no driver figures?

AFAIK, the very first spare bodies came coloured (red, white or green) and had a different code (SP-0005) then the later white SP-1045 (50045) one, but never seen them in real

Cheers

Actually, I think it's just the other way around.

PICT0103.jpg

I have an original 935 static kit ( kit nr.BS-1223, not re-re) and it has clear windows.

The 935-RC has tinted ones, maybe the same goes for the 934-RC's.

So there has been a red one?

Hmm, now we're getting somewhere!

I really like to sort this thing out (as always).

What color is the body of the Black Porsche? (LOL, it sounds silly but I'll ask it anyway, have to be sure).

Thx for reply Theo!

Black Porsche has "smoked" windows.

Are you sure?

Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like clear windows to me...

You could be right there, just had a look at pics of my RC 934 and 935 and they seem slightly tinted, 934 more then 935 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=4351&id=16

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=4354&id=16

so it seems the last statement in http://www.tamiyaclub.com/xforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13892 was right and the earlier one wrong. Interesting though that the Black 934 windows seem fully clear, must check though at home.

The Black 934 body was moulded in black plastic.

So there has been a red one?

Yes, a red bodyset exists.

Thx a lot, that makes two confirmations!

I'll add it to the first post.

It would be nice if we have a pic of the red one.

Any chance?

PS I discovered that in my 935 static kit  there are the two front head lamp lenses (clear) and two front marker lights of the 934 too!

Also the big red tinted filler piece between the rear lights is there!!![Y]

Hi Theo,

The driver is correctly mounted on the body (as shown on P12 of the Black Porsche manual), and I guess this is one of the differences between the black Porsche and the standard 934.

Very valueable info!

Do you have a pic/scan of that particular page?

I'd love to add it to my first post.

Now we're defenately getting somewhere!

Thx,

Dee.

Ok, some more Q's:

How 'bout the air intakes (brakes) of the RC-934?

There's a little mess plate behind it, is it different from the static kit?

Are the whipers different?

The RC-935, for instance, has a whiper in one piece while the static kit has one in two seperate parts.
