I was in the LHS today buying some expensive hopups, and I caught sight of this little beasty. 1/18th touring car (nothing new there), but this one is a nitro. It looks really good, and saw a video of it in action, very quick. A bit pricey at just a tad over £218, but what a superb little car, I'm just waiting to see the first 1/18th nitro offroader appearing now!

Ah wow, there is an offroader already, just click the NT18T link.... I think I'm going to start saving my pennies now!

The Nitrotek looks nice, I suppose it depends on parts availability and quality, if spares are available with it then you've got £100 worth to spend before it's cost as much as the XRay. But if it's not made as well, it wouldn't take long to spend that replacing broken bits, and Xray do have a reputation for good quality build.

a few of the guys have the NB16, and a good thing is some mini inferno

hopups will fit. all i have heard is good things about the NB16. not

sure about the xray nt18 as i have the electric version and with a 300

motor its fast, with a brushless they become bullets and hard too

control. but i would like those shock from the nitro xray lol

you can read all about the NB16 at this link http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=4244

Looks like people are well pleased with the Nitrotek, and the spares list on Nitrotek's site is comprehensive too. I think I might ask for one of those for my birthday [:D]

yes jozza must agree they do look like they have the spare side sorted

out unlike some other cars and trucks about.another good thing is the

UK supplyer of parts, no more tax evading and waiting for the larger

bill if import tax is hit.

whats your opinions guys on the so called mini grasshopper and the mini

hornet, i have only seen snap shots of these micro 1:18th buggys, i

wondered if its another wind up or is tamiya inc looking into micro

versions of there model selection ? as i am a micro rc nutter these two

newcomers would certainly be  on the front of my shelf.
