Hi all.

Yesterday, i recieved my newly bought Hilux in the mail.. Wee..

It came RTR with an older Acoms 4-channel transmitter, which works fine, the only problem is that the servo turns in the opposite direction of my stick-throw..

Unfortunately, these old transmitters have no servo-reversing, and i am unable to turn the "stick-thingy" upside down inside the h.set, due to the trim lever on the side and the bottom..

My question is this:

Which of the 3 wires will i need to move on the potentiometer to reverse the servo throw?. (Inside the handset, this is)..

Help is much appreciated, so i can take the truck for a proper spin.  :)

Cheers..

Hi,

Sorry can't help with the wires but another option although not free

would be much easier - Ripmax produce a small box of tricks that sits

inline between the RX and servo which reverses the servo, have used

them before and they work well.  From memory they are a little

over a tenner new.

Cheers

Just swap the two outer ones, simple as that [:)]

Thanks a lot, both of you..

Theo> yes, i would expect that too.  ;).. But it is always nice to be safe than sorry, LOL..

Thanks alot.. At first chance, i will swap the two outer wires on the steering-stick potentiometer..

Have a super-weekend..

Cheers.

Don't mean to hijack this topic but does anybody know of a 4 channel radio with end point adjustments preferably in 40mhz, I never had any luck with the gear changes using the acoms back in the day and believe that being able to set the end points would solve this straight away.

thanks

Hi.

Ive found (by accident) that acoms and hitec servos work in oppisite directions if that helps.

it sorted the front and rear brake issues on one of my FG models without having to resort to a 3 channel radio.

>no it doesn't have to be vintage

In that case, how does this one sound, it's the Futaba T6XS and it has EPA's (called ATV) and a whole lot more ;-

TC member "ant88" (Ant) makes nice CNC gates for this TX, in any design that you want. It's very flexible, the one above is the one that I use for my 3-gear truck (shift gate and steering gate), the one below is the one that I use with my cars ;-

...note the "cars" gates!

The one below is for use with my Leopard 2 A6 tank ;-

This TX has full computerisation and is available on 40 MHz Surface frequency, and can do FM (PPM) or PCM. Audible low battery alarm, LCD display, I love the T6XS!!
