Just been talking to the chap at a central London hobby store, I dont know this guy from a bar of soap and we somehow got onto the Bruiser. Now I only posted this as secretly I love fuelling the fire and wild speculation [:P] .....not really but I thought you guys might like to hear it anyway.

He started going on about how he was looking forward to the rerelease....

Blazing Blazer

Mounty

SS (where apparently tamiiya will make a plastic gearbox as the existing moulds are long gone)

I asked where he heard this and he reckoned it was common word on the street and the net. [:o]

Anyway....he went on to say that the Blazer and Mounty would be reproduced as the shells can be made with a generic no label look.

Hope he is correct as he was a nice chap and it would be a shame to have to hurt him [:@] !!

Just thought I would share and as usual I will believe it when I see it[:D]

I am as sick of it as everyone else!

I just thought it might be worth sharing seeing as he was working in the store, had a few years under his belt and was confident in what he was saying.

(So in otherwords a potentially accomplished BS artist)

So dont kill the messenger....please!!  [:D]

It's entirely plausible that the common word on the net he was referring to were the rumours that often crop up on these very forums, rumours like these can feed off themselves, generating further speculation.

Hitting people with a big stick is a bad idea, it could leave nasty Bruisers.[:)]

Sorry to tell you all.

but i have a good friend working for Tamiya.

and he told me that they Got information/noticed  that the  Rerelase Mounty is a fact.

Hahaah, shame the big T can't leave us any :(

Like I said before...never say never as long as Tamiya is still in business any of the old model could be re-release.  As most TC members would agree or deemed reasonable that Tamiya people keep an eye at this site and ebay. And any one notice an ebay store is selling NIB Bruiser and Blazer for $2700 and $3700, respectively.  Mind you, is a bit too much money for majority of the people but is a BIG world and their are people who can affort it provided they are into RC. These asking prices sure add incentive for Tamiya to really consider and other toy mfg. in China would take note of the possibilities unless there are copy rights, patents etc... but than we are talking about China where R&D stand for "Research and Duplicate."

First of all, I don't know why everyone gets mad when this topic comes up? [*-)]

I for one, live for the excitement of not knowing what is next! I thought it was amazing when they showed ads and pictures of the new Tamtech Frog! [:P]

If they make a 3 speed, well GREAT! I will finally own one for the fraction of the price of a Vintage one!

I surely hope they don't replace the tranny with a plastic one, as that would suck and I would have to revert back to saving $2000 to buy a vintage one. Sorry, but a plastic 3 speed doesn't thrill me! [:@]

But the possibilities are there! Nitro trucks go for $400 - $700 and people buy them! They are made of a lot of metal parts! So a 3 speed is not unreasonable! Tamiya could make them put a $400 price on them and they would sell! My EZilla costs $300, so whay wouldn't a 3 speed not sell??????

I am adding to the rumor...................just in hopes of owning one of these someday......but they will be rereleased! [:D]

I partially agree with TamiyaKing as only some TC members get mad when the re-release topic comes up especially for the 3 spd.  Afterall this is a forum where any Tamiya related topic is a go and with new and young members signing up and visiting the site, older members should not expect them to go through all the related topics which were discussed many many times before by the older members when they first sign up.  Same or similar forum subject, questions, opinion will be up for discussion many more times so the next time a repeated topic comes up the older, wiser, smarter members can just sit back and tell him/herself that "seen it, being there and done it" or something to that effect.

Sincerly,

Mr. Knowitall

OK, If you can’t beat them join them. This is what I know about Tamiya making a re-issue of a Three Speed. This is pretty reliable stuff…

Well my sisters, cousins, friends, brothers, wife, uncles, daughter, knows a person who, knows a cleaning lady that works nights at the Tamiya facility. Now you have to realize that I and a few other club members have been sworn to secrecy but to put this to bed I have received special dispensation from Tamiya to disclose the following. This is what the lady described..

Its not a three speed. You guessed it, a four speed!!!!yup, automatic but with the slap stick option. Shift it yourself or keep it in the auto mode…Now the best part is you will never need a battery…Would you believe “Dilithium Crystals“. or possibly ion drive. Right now Tamiya has enlisted the help of the club best techno-people..Twinset, cul-tec and Mud4fun..They are working on designing the motor housing to hold the anti-matter. Best option so far is a magnetic flux shield that will surround the rear portion of the car. This will totally protect the ion drive..M4F is trying to retro fit this into an SRB Tranny as we speak…Twinset, who is now the Machinist to the Queen, and Cul-tec are working jointly on fabricating parts for the vehicle. I have been sanctioned to do the metal finishing on this bad boy..

The name of the car will be the “Blazing Monte†and will come in a molded plastic body, the color is “Hot Pinkâ€â€¦AND, Tamiya knows you guys don’t want to spend a lot of money on one of these, or you would already have a three speed, So the Manufacturers suggested retail price is..$78 AUS..Can’t beat that Mate..Look for this to this the market around 2009..Thats when the first shippment of Dilithium will reach the planet..

Trust me this has about as much fabrication of fact as anything else that has been written on this subjuct..Maybe more...regards jerry

Just try here

http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/151757.aspx

and here

http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/153429.aspx

These are just from the last WEEK!

Speculation has been going on for years and for those of us who have

been around here a while it was fun at first but since the rereleases

started this topic crops up more and more often and each new thread

ends up just going round in circles and repeating what has gone before.

Like many others I will only believe a rerelease when I see it on

Tamiyas website.

The only people who really know Tamiyas plans are in Tamiyas offices in

Japan, there have been loads of "a friend of a friend told me" posts

over the years, if these were believable how come the first we knew of

the other rereleases was when Tamiya officially announced them. Anyone

who knows any information about future products would lose their job if

they talked about them.

What usually happens is someone will say Tamiya will still have the

moulds so it would be easy to remake them, others will point out why

the moulds don't exist. Someone will point out the problems of all the

metal castings, others will point out that Tamiya make the tanks with

metal castings while others will suggest Tamiya would re-engineer them

in plastic (and as above more would say they aren't interested in a

plastic version)

Repeat as necessary or until everyone gets bored with it and starts a new thread.[:D]

SS (where apparently tamiiya will make a plastic gearbox as the existing moulds are long gone)

Anyway....he

went on to say that the Blazer and Mounty would be reproduced as the

shells can be made with a generic no label look.

The information in nzl60s thread can be found in the TC forums as

reasons why the rereleases wouldn't happen (cost of cast parts,

licensing problems) but turned around to prove the possibility of a

rerelease. If we go by what has been said in previous threads it would

be pointless making SRB gearboxes in plastic as no one here would be

interested.

Now you know why some of us are tired of these threads. We aren't mad at them, just seen it all before again and again.[|-)]

I can recommend plenty of threads on here that many have not even been

read, let alone replied to.  If people are tired of responding to

the same old threads, why respond to them at all?

First off,

Use a phone book wrapped up in duct tape to beat this guy if it doesn't come true.  Sticks leave marks but phone books don't.  This topic is beginning to get old girls. Can't we have a forum that is just for the UFO chasers, Big Foot sightings, and re-release speculation???? lolololol  Netsmith please help us by creating a speculation forum.
