Hi all! I have a question concerning motors, I thought that the less amount of turns a motor had the faster it was, correct? When I was looking at motors on the Tower Hobbies website it said that the Trinity Green Machine 3  Protuned motor which has 27 turns spun at 32,300 RPM`s, while the TrinityCobalt 19 turn spun 21,944PPM`s @5v. Are they rating them at different voltages or what?Sorry if this is a pain in the rear question, but, please be gentle, I wanna know.lol. Thx.

Hi and welcome to the club

Generally the less turns the faster the motor is correct, assuming

everything else is the same. The amount of timing advance, magnet

strength, armature design, etc. all make a difference to the speed as

well.

The problem with this question is that the Green Machine revs aren't

quantified by the voltage so I would immediately presume the figure is

achieved at a higher voltage. For example you can get 20,000rpm out of

a standard 540 motor if you put a high enough voltage through it, it

won't last long though.

I suspect the green machine was run at 7.2 volts.
