Okay - here goes, does my reverse rotation motor go in the front or the rear of the truck ?!  In the last few days I have read that it goes in either spot, it's killin me here [:^)].  I can't seem to get my Super Rooster and mayhem's wired/set up right.  And they should be wired in parrallel for speed/power right ?  Soon, my G-Made is going to be thrown in the trash if I don't get it sorted.  Your assistance would be appreciated.

Yo C

If you're crawling the GMade, wire it in parallel - series works like a centre diff - NOT GOOD FOR CRAWLING

Basically, run two long wires, motor-motor

+/+

-/-

Then, join the esc wires to either a motor, or splice them into the long wire midway (looks cool)

I can never remember which Mayhem goes at the front, but today I'm guessing the 'NORMAL' one - as when you rotate the front wheels forwards, the pinion rotates anti/counter clockwse

Never throw a clod in the trash, send it to me

I thought the reverse would go in the front, and the forward in the rear.

But I think this would work - put one or the other motor in the front, don't connect it to the speedo. Get a C or AA size battery, and touch the positive wire from the motor to the positive on the battery, and negative to negative. If the wheels turn forward, then that's the correct motor, if they go backwards then you need to put the other one in there..

ok, the clods got 2 counter gears between the pinion and the diff, but the motor is still on the standard side of the gearbox. normal gearboxes have one counter gear, so the motor turns the same way as the wheels. throw in another counter gear and the motor will be spinning in the oposite way to the wheels.

so the reverse motor goes on the rear gearbox [:D] i hope, lol

Hey fellas,

thanks a bunch.  over the next few days I'll take my dragoon apart as my reverse motor is in the front  and swap it to the rear.  hopefully that will sort things out.  Oh - Andy, it's for bashing - that crawling is too slow for me [;)] - if I decide to toss it I'll send you a bill for the postage.  I'd do it tonight but I gotta pack up one of my nib double dares.  he's leaving my collection [:'(].

REverse goes in the REar

If you put the reverse motor up font it will seem like it is working, as the tires will all spin in the same direction. If your motors have anything but 0 deg timing, you will be running with retarded timing when moving forward, limiting your power. the truck will actually be faster going in reverse, as this will have more power by virtue of the timing advance.

If the motors are 0 timing, it doesn't matter where you put them. I've never used the MM motors, so I'm not sure on their timing advance, but I suspect there is some advance built in, or there would be no need for the reverse motor.
