I have very recently got a Sony DSC H1,most places in town it was £350,but can be had for about £255 online.

It only has 32MB memory built in which is only good for a few minutes of good video but I fitted the 1GB stick from my PSP and now I can do 46 mins of video at good quality or 12 mins at the very best setting.

I haven't took any vids of my cars yet though as the weather hasn't been very good.

And yes,it is compatable with Movie Maker without any conversion.

Just to clarify,it is a still camera that also does video.

Anything with firewire/iLink/DVout will work with virtually all software programs. Just plug the camera into your computer's firewire port with a firewire/iLink/dv cable (all the same thing).

This is the best way to do it.

i use a 13 year old 8mm sanyo. decent camera, but no usb or firewire. i use a pinnacle Linx analogue-to-usb. does the job well, and allows me to plug in a VCR, dvd player etc
