hi

its for the front and rear diffs on a losi mini lst. on another forum it was sugested to use it to prolong the diff life due to premature wear.

is there another grease that wil do the same job.

A quote from the thread I pointed to:

Tamiya's Anti Wear grease can be purchased under the name

anti-seize/never seize/nickle based copper slip/titanium prep...

it's basically an anit seize grease.  probably used becuase of it's high viscocity.

Be aware............This grease is VERY VERY thick! I put some in a dif on my late MRS TA04, and it was very stiff. It will probably almost lock your diffs. I would go with ceramic grease made by Tamiya. Use it in everything and never had any problems! [;)]

The Tamiya AW grease is great for making gear diffs stiffer (on ball diffs you should only use special ball diff grease) and you can vary stiffness by the amount you use, I use it now on all the gear diffs I build varying the amount according to the stiffness I want, makes my gear diffs work as well as if not better then my ball diffs (as its "slip torque" is smoother and progressive to speed difference due to the viscosity while on ball diffs the slip torque is pretty constant). Thats why also on real cars often viscous limited slip diffs are used.

Cheers
