I personally have used araldite, but think any glue is going to come apart if you bash it the same way. Alternative (if you have the space) is some aluminium strips screwed in place either side of crack?

One other little tip (that I've never tried personally) is to drill a small hole (<2mm) at the very end of the crack.

This will stop the crack spreading.

Nothing will make a permanent fix on lexan breaks, especially if you keep crashing, but I have had good luck using silicone caulk on the inside and embedding a mesh to reinforce it. I have used cloth bandage, but the open weave tape stuff for dry wall joints is better. The advantage of this type of repair is that it conforms well to any body contours. If you need extra strength you can drill tiny holes with a pin vice on either side of the break and sew it together with fine wire. Bung a sticker on top if it looks too ugly!

I've used Shoe Goo quite a few times as it leaves a flexible bond. the only downside is that it adds to the weight of the lexan and is best positioned behind the crack. HTH. [:)]

For gluing lexan shells back together I use Fender Mender (designed for the job) with glassfibre tape embedded into the glue. Works a treat.

dry wall tape and just enough shoegoo to cover the tape.. works great its stronger then any other point on your body and its light.. as long as you dont glob on the gooooo
