Does anyone know if the Juggernaut Drive Shafts will work with the bruiser???????

The RC4WD shafts didn't work as good as I thought they would.

Iwill just say at this time, that they only lasted 10 minutes before breaking. I am currently trying to get money back, but they are not responding to my emails................[8o|]

May have to do a Pay Pal claim! Thank god I used them for payment. [:o]

What a waste of $80.00! I am so mad right now! And I went and gave great comments on this company, man did I stick my foot in my mouth on this one! [:'(]

Here are some pictures..........and I was just driving normally. And these are suppose to be Heavy Duty??????

wow, that is a bummer.  I was considering a set of those formyself. The actual Juggernaut universals work but I can't remeber if the shaft is longer than the bruiser.

Ouch !  I just recieved my "punisher" heavy duty shafts for my txt-1 from rc4wd.  I run the HV Maxx brushless so now I am a little concerned.  I checked the rc4wd website and the following warning was under the picture of the punisher shaft on the txt-1 parts section:

Note: If you purchased a Punisher Shaft for TXT-1 from Oct to Dec 2005 and experiencing problem with the pin on universal joint, please contact us via our support site at www.rc4wd.com/support/ to get a replacement (we will need your order #)

Maybe yours is one of the bad ones ?  I sent an inquiry to rc4wd myself about another product, it was just a question but I never got a response.  However, when I have made an inquiry about something I've ordered it's usually answered quickly.

They definitely have some quirky business tactics over there.  Hopefully my shafts won't be destroyed on my first run !  I'm just waiting for my stainless steel kit to arrive then I'm up and running for the new season.

Overall, I have been pretty happy with my service at rc4wd [:)].

A little advice on return of goods:

Always stay polite, no matter what!

I know this sounds rather "wise guy-ed" but this way people want to help you more (and gives you credit for that).

I noticed you were very upset (I would be too on such an amount of money) but try to solve it in a nice matter.

It'll pay out in the end...

Good luck!

Dee, trust me, I was very nice to him when I emailed him. I even re emailed him this morning, and was still cool about it. I told him I just want to return them and get my money back. I hope he does that for me.

He did do me good when he didn't have some stuff in stock, so I can't complain there. I guess I should just give it time. Hopefully it all works out in the end! [;)]

Ok, I thought, according to your first post, you were very upset and the emails were not answered...

Anyway, I hope you get the right stuff you payed for.

Oh no, I was also considering a purchase.  I've won one auction

from him on the bay and he appeared to be very professional, but a

one-time incident is never a measure of an individual.  Please let

us know how the transaction turns out.  Thank you for posting this.

Best,

Wow - there's a lot of us here that have considered buying from this

guy -- wonder was this will do for business?  Maybe you should

mention to him that his business is the subject of debate in a forum

full of potential customers.  He does have some really nice

products, but I may think twice before dropping a few hundred on him.

Hey. Try using Traxxas Sliders. I've been using these for about 8 years plus. They work great and I never really had problems with them and they don't seem to wear out. They are easy to install. The rear you will have to make out of two pieces. Cost is about $45.00. But you get extra plastic pieces and the ujoint part is a hard anodized joint. I have them on three of my runners. I will post some pictures if you want.

Yes they are "usable", I have bought Jugg shafts for the 3spd but I think I had to shorten them a little... just a quick job with a hacksaw & file. (its been a few yrs ago since I did it)

TXT1 shafts are 6mm though, so Jugg 5mm ones are better.

*** UPDATE ***

Mike contacted me and said he was very sorry for the defect! I guess he said to contact him the first week in May and he will send an updated version of the shafts. So I take it they have been having problems and are revising them. He said I could keep the old ones too.

So, come May first I will be knocking on their door to see if they are for real on this offer or just trying to blow me off! And I kept all emails between us so I have proof of what he said incase it comes down to an eBay dispute!

I will keep you guys updated. And I think I will tell him their are a lot of TC Members waiting on his resolution to see if they trust buying his product. Thanks for the input and support guys!

I may try the Jug shafts and shorten them up! [;)]

I just emailed him and let him know about informing you guys and that his resolution is going to set the out come of my update on here! Thanks again guys.

So, it looks like you got the batch made between october & december 2005 eh ?  Hopefully my txt-1 shafts aren't old stock !  I'll know soon enough [;)].

Well, if that is the case....then that is really messed up as I ordered these just 2 weeks ago and if he knew these were bad, he should have not sold them! Ummmmmmmmmmmm, things are really starting to make me wonder now! [8-)]

Just put my punisher shafts into my txt-1.  Pulled the trigger on the radio, it moved about 1 foot then stopped as the driveshafts spun in place !  The little pins slid right out !  Email sent to rc4wd.  Hopefully mine will work out as the bruiser shafts [:|].

Backtomyroots you can put T-Maxx shafts in your TXT, they are cheaper

and lighter. That is what I run in both of mine. With the HV system you

will need to use the Revo shafts as they are beefier. Very minor mods

needed to get them to fit.

TK the Jugg shafts fit once you trim them down, and they look more OEM, and should last a long time.

Just an FYI for all members.  Although the "punisher" shafts I receieved were faulty, Mike from RC4WD refunded my money [Y] and didn't even ask for the items to be returned ( I did email him pictures of the damage though).  So, I have to give him 2 thumbs up and this has been the only "hiccup" I've had with rc4wd over the last  year.

Same here! Mike sent me a refund on my shafts, plus he said I could keep the busted ones and he said the engineers are working on a better design as we speak. He also offered that if I email him the first of May, that if the new design was done, he would send me a pair no chrage, but I think I will buy them as he has been nothing but great customer service. If I had 10 hands I would give him 10 thumbs up!

Thanks Mike! [:D]

Cory, could you post some (bigger) pics of your Traxxas sliders?

I'm curious.  Looked at your Bronco but the pics weren't clear or

big enough.  Thanx.
