I have a couple of the re-release r32 skyline bodyshells (from the taisan tt01 kit) and have notied that they both have raised circular areas on the bonnet (hood). its like there was an air bubble in the mold or something. Has anyone else noticed this on their skyline bodies and is it only on rerelease bodies (made outside of japan i believe). im worried that when i paint them ill have a big ugly raised area on the bonnet thats really easily visible.

cheers

Try to make a little hole in it on the side of the bubble with a needle and warm the decal with a hair dryer.

Push the air out and if you do that correctly, no sign of bubble will be visible.

Thats exactly what i mean - a raised area in the sheet of polycarbonate, as if an air bubble got under it during the forming process.

i just wondered if other people had the same things with their skyline shells and if it remains visible after painting/decaling.
