[:D]First off, sorry for not turning up guys, stuff happened [:(]

Anyroad, when you lot get round to uploading your pics, I thought it'd be handy to be able to find them easy.

Obviously the initial few are gonna be simple, but  some people do take a while to get their finger out and get the pics sorted.

So, how's about putting K2K6 (for Kidderminster 2006) in your description, just to make all the K2K6 entries easy to find?

It's easier to spell than Kidderminster, Kiddyminister, Kidd, Spring Meet etc. etc.

I did it last year (K2K5) for all mine, but forgot to mention it to anyone else [:$]

Andy - was really sorry to hear you couldn't make it - was hoping to ply you with a few beers as a "thank you" for all the help with the Stratos decals etc - it ran really well and looked great thanks to the details like the decals. Good idea on the photo / post description front, should help with the search.

Again another great weekend which I enjoyed even more than last year, great organisation, great people, great time (and **** it I managed to get sunburnt AGAIN this year despite there only being a couple of hours sunshine all weekend) [:$].

Highlight for me had to be the night driving on the Sat eve and the M-chassis races...

Really sorry you couldn't be there Andy, hope everything's okay. I think I got to take about 4 pictures this year, having too much fun driving (still, that's 3 pictures more than I took last year [:P]).

Shame you couldn't have been there Andy, hope everything gets back to normal at home ASAP. Titles now have K2K6 in just for you!

P.S. You'll have those bacon sarnies by K2K7, promise!

Cheers guys - mental pics and vids [:D]

I couldn't make it because, sadly, my father in law died on Thursday morning - he'd been fighting cancer for 10 years, but finally needed a rest [:(]

I told a few of the guys I didn't think I'd make it, purely because he was ill and I didn't want my wife to be on her own for 3 days, but as it was, we got a call from the hospital on Wednesday nite.

My wife, her sister, mum and I were all with him when he passed away, around 12:50 Thursday morning.

Can we at least avoid August bank holiday and the first two weeks of Septemeber so I can try and get to the next one?

I got a £14 duvet here that needs breaking in [:D]

Sorry to hear about your father in law Andy, things can't have been easy for your wife and family over the last few weeks..

I'd also like to vote that IF (and I believe its a big IF), there is another meet in late summer I'd like to avoid the bank holiday at the end of August as I already have something else planned. I suspect things are the same for others as its not that far away.

Maybe it would be best to gauge opinion / dates / venues in a dedicated thread on this.... just an idea ;).

Yep top meet as always and it was great to see the old faces (and new ones) again ;-)

Cheers to Chris for organising (without running a car all weekend as well) and Molly for marshalling !

If we have a summer meet I too would like to avoid the August bank holiday as I am going to be down in Cornwall.

Dont leave everything up to Chris, and I am sure he will back me up in saying that if you know of a good venue to hold an official summer drive and  fancy a go at organising something along the lines of Kidd drop him a mail.

Andy, my thoughts are with you and your family mate.

There is every possibility of a late summer meet, for me the Bank Hol would be the best time, but any weekend would be fine apart from the first week of August. Bank holiday weekends tend to work well as most people will get the Monday off work to recover and clean stuff up. Perhaps a meet in mid September would be a good time, as the late Summer weather is normally good until at least the end of Sept. I suppose at the end of the day it depends when Kidd is available for the weekend as it seems to be the best venue for the majority of people, the only thing it lacks is a decent onroad area.

I do know of a grass offroad track which we could use, in North Essex, with camping facilities. I did try to get an event going there a few years ago, but lack of interest meant it was a non runner, maybe now that these things are more popular I could try again? The only possible issue is that the location may not suit all, being rather less central in the country than Kidd, but if anyone is interested perhaps they could let me know and I'll find out availability and pricing details.

You must be thick, normally only takes me 3 [:D]

But you're right, whilst the instructions were 100% without fault, they could do with a sign - or at least a stick with a balloon tied to it [;)]
