Exactly what I was planning to write Neo! This truck gonna be the best custom project plattform ever! Instead of buying a knight hauler and a TLT ore a Dumper and maybe also a emax gear box... You will get most of it al in here. This looks like everything we wish for, us scale trailer's and modern 3-speeders. Multi functional device can be bougt seperatly and fittet! This is sound and lights right?

When the prize is so good as well, you can aford to buy a very special body for the money it use to cost to build a simular project:-)

Cheers

I think Tamiya should put a Jeep body on it, after all, aren't Jeeps

the ultimate off-roader? A Scrambler or Renegade body would be OK, but

personally I would perfere a M715 or another full size Jeep body, but

that isn't going to happen = (

All of us have different tastes- this is just my two cents ; )

If you want a diferent shell on it then go ahead and fit one. All you have to do is find the shell you like and fit it.

Have you ever tried to find a Jeep M715 shell? To quote Tamiya King, I am Ronald McDonald if such a shell exists!

I just got back from hobby show in California and the F-350 Highlight is there on display. Look smaller than my bruiser maybe because the tiny wheels and tires. I took some picture but don't have anyway to post it, my website has been locked so can't modify anything. Is there a free site or someone can post for me? Theo?

TIA

Man, I can't wait to get a couple of these !  Funny, that looks like the prototype in there - judging by the tires joined in halves [:^)].  Great pics - thanks for sharing them.  Any pics/info on the other stuff at  the show ?  I've always wanted to get to a RCX show - but it's a long drive from Ontario, Canada !

Thanks for sharing!

Those diff-shells looks a bit odd, entire new or a mockup?

The front bullbar certainly looks like prototype, as they did not bother to paint the inside's :)

Ow.. they could have bothered to tuck away the wires in the cab! lol

love that thing, toss the rollbar, paint it olive drab , some bigger tires maybe "lunchbox style" , your allll sorted ! Glad to have preordered one, come on tamiya.. start producing!

its definatly not a lowered juggy [;)]

the only juggernaut parts i can see are the shell and the gold coloured shocks.

juggernaut axels/diff cases are huge and a jugg chassis is also very large. lower a jugg that much and the center of the chassis would scrape the ground.

the hi lift chassis looks all shiney and new to me [H] [:P]

Thanks Neo, but looks like Richrich was there at RCX too and we have similar pictures. Aybody notice why the tires was cut in half ?

I'd like to see them anyways.  I took like 20 pics but because of the glare and chrome on the truck, most of them were unusable.  Maybe he got some better pics?

Propably as the other one was a very early prototype with many early parts, like plastic tires etc. Guess the new photos are closer to the production model.

Saw the pics of the real thing in an RC mag today at the shop, didn't buy the mag for one article that I can't really read that well anyway. But suffice to say, the one in the mag ddn't have springs on the shocks (which are a lot different looking to the TLT shocks) the shocks have a pretty beffy looing shaft. The diff front plate is silver? hope that is only a paint thing. the tyres don't have the splits in them, but look the same!!

Think I may end up with one NIB and one runner!

should start a count down thread to the Japanese release!!

46 Days

With pics of just a prototype and the RCX show still showing a prototype, do you really think that release date is going to be June 24th??  I hope so, but from a prototype to release in 45 days??

As in above posts in the Japanese page they have a newer version, guess TamiyaUSA has an old one, which is already 3 weeks old. Except when having manufacturing or design problems, Tamiya kits were always pretty on time, guess the advantage of having everything in their own factory (design, moulding, boxes, manuals) as well Japanese people being usually workaholics.

Looks like they might have dropped the four wheel steering as now only Ford F350 4x4 High-Lift

that sounds like no bad thing! 4 wheel steering on a truck with wheels that small would be a little OTT in my opinion. might have been good for modified rock crawler guys though...

nice to hear the jugg option/tlt-1 shocks wont be used either [:D]

i'm definatly going to buy one of these [H]

Yep, dropping the 4WS sounds good! badword'uva lot more realistic too! Them tyres look good, will certainly have the scale guys falling over themselves to get them on their XC's etc!

As someone said earlier, i think it's best to see this as a full-option XC than a bruiser re-re!

Thanks Neo for posting the pix for me but what happend? it got cut in half.

Anyways don't know why Tamiya didn't put slightly wider tires on this truck it seems to be narrower than the Bruiser this makes it top heavy and you can be certain it will rollover and damage that beautiful hard body every time you make a turn or hit a bump.
