Well it looks like the HiLift hasn't lost its front bush guard, and now

we can see what's under that shell. Couldn't get that motor any higher,

could they.

Now we are talking, great pictures! I love it when tamiya do does X-ray shots! Looks heavy, any idea how much the whole truck weights? Shure that motor gona make it top heavy, but if the truck weights enough? I am thinking led rings, any one know if the rims are truely 1,9 size or bigger? I like that the shocks are red, not gold. Not shure about the plastic croming thoe, but many people like that. Eh Tamiya, if you realy want al my spare cash this year make a lot of alu hop- ups for this truck. Alu axel cases, gears etc.

Thanks

Not normally into new Tamiya, but how could I say no to this little gem,[:D]

So I've just ordered a couple from HLJ in Japan.

Let's hope I filled the order form in correct,[*-)]

It's definately 1.9", they are Mu Type X wheels. Interesting to see how the gearbox is laid out, am eager to see how it performs. Hopefully it won't be too tippy with the motor up there!

If the wheels are existing, why are they split and glued in the prototypes.  Something must be different about them.

I also noted the body is a little different.  The wheel wells are bigger for starters.  Look closely and you'll see.

Yup, I saw it when you said it mr_P. Thanks for the great info! I was vorried the rims was to big to fit my led rings and also to big for or 1,9 size trail class. The tyres are a litle bigger, I am guessing it will be a popular uppgrade for XC's, Pickup trucks and Hummers!

I often do that my self, mixing wheels and tyres and rims. Last did it 5 ours ago in a different tread in here:-)

Also if you look closely they have replace the quad exhaust pipes with fatter "HKS" style dual pipes.  Can anymore tell me how to post pictures here?

Is realized, should this be the New Mounty as it has the roll bar instead of the rear cab.  Anyway it doesn't matter, the summer of 2006 will keep many TC members happy from building these F-350, modifying and putting her / him if you are a Blokeback Mountain fan [:)] through the pace.  I have a feeling the chasis will be available for a long time with lots of options/hop ups and different bodies like the XC series.  Now, would Kyosho follow Tamiya's direction as well or would only stick with racing and crawler design for RC?

From the size of that gearbox and the amount of space it takes up in that 'body off' F-350 picture, there's no room for a detailed interior in that cabin [:(] That's one mother of a gearbox in that thing. One other minor niggle is the straight chassis ladder rails. I liked it much better with the contoured chassis rails of the previous 3-speeders. And the underguard from the prototype is gone.

Still not sure whether I'll get one or not. Definitely doesn't have the X-factor of the original Mounty/Bruiser.

I do like the look of all the TTG cars though - the new TTG Hornet and Fox look great! Tempting!

Just noticed on the Tamiya ad in the “ELECTRIC KITS REQUIRE†bit at the bottom, it only askes for 2 Channel radio. Does that mean some kind of auto box will be fitted?

Also seems like a spare body is included.

Posted

ELECTRIC KITS REQUIRE:

Radio: 2-Channel with servo(s)

Battery: 6-cell flat with standard Tamiya connector

Charger: AC/DC timed or peak for 6-cell battery

Paint: Polycarbonate for spare body

Misc. Items: Building and track equipment

i hope thats incorect as if its not shiftable from the remote whats the point a pre painted body and a blank spare would be great though! however it says poly paint so im guessing its all wrong

The requirements of a 2 channel radio is the same as the old 3 speeds, which also just required a 2 channel radio. You only need a 2 channel radio to run it, but you will want an extra channel to shift the gearbox.

Looks like you get the hard body and an extra polycarbonate body for running.

Yes that makes sense it probably has a clip similar to the semi trucks to lock the shift rod. a poly body for running will be a great bonus to
