Wonder if Tamiya is going to replace the chassis to give more ground clearance? or will this simlpy be a different body?

Mike.

190 Evo II as well as the M3? Nice[:D] I'll be interested to see the TLT-2 in terms of whether it will address problems of TLT-1 or be a totally new chassis. Maybe it's a Mini T competitor?

Posted

I am wondering how many original Evo's and M3's will be on ebay in the next few weeks trying to get every last penny out of them. I myself will be buying one of each, or atleast a body set[:D]

Posted

The last 3 weeks different Ebays are swamped with M3s and bodysets, most catch still pretty high prices, poor buyers, if only they knew [;)]

I was hoping the Evo II was going to be released as I think it's a very aggressive looking car. I'm glad as I prefer it to the M3.

I'll be looking for the bodysets.

No word whatsoever about spare bodysets... hmmm, I wonder!

nb. there are many models for which Tamiya has never brought out

a spareparts bodyset kit so it would not be a first occurance

eg Wild Willy 2, Mounty/Bruiser, Clod/Bullhead, Baja King/Champ,

#58291... [:P]

Mounty/Bruiser

id="quote">id="quote">

The person I bought my Mounty from, said it was a Bruiser that he seriously wrecked the body from. The Body wa unavaliable so he bought a new one from a Mountaineer - It would seem strange if it wouldn't be a body parts set of some sort...

Not that I am complaining, I'm happy he bought that body becasue that made restoring the truck a load easier. [8D]

Is the "58328 Buggy (tentative name)" the Gravel Hound? [?]

53696 Super Stock Motor TZ

53697 Super Stock Motor RZ

id="quote">id="quote">

Even MORE Stock motors? That make 6 types of stock motors, right? [8)]

You can get Baja Champ and King, there are some in my LHS direct from the UK Tamiya distributor.

Are those the loose spareparts or actual BodySet kits?? [?]

Far as I can tell, Tamiya didn't issue retail-packaged bodysets.

Nup, ya gotta scum it from a NIB kit or piece it together from

loose spareparts. Never a retail-packaged Mounty or Bruiser bodyset.

Unlike for the Hilux! [:P]

You see Hilux bodysets sold in eBay all the time, all nicely

boxed in their brown paper boxes with the red end tag.

Seperate body and stickers not boxed. I thought you meant no spare shells were avaliable at all, whoops![:I]

Willy - Tamiya did bring out the Clodbuster in a Boxed body parts set #50325 - well at least here in the UK [;)]

Have a feeling that for big monsters like Mounty and Jugg Tamiya tends not sell complete bodysets but only individual parts, maybe because of size or price?

Posted

Don't ever remember seeing a boxed Clod shellset on ePay... but

I'll keep on looking!! [:D]

Don't know, but it leads to some annoying situations.

Not all distributors carry all the individual "Sxxxx..." items, so

when I tried to piece a Jugg shell together many of the smaller

pieces just weren't available. Wasn't a cheap project either.

Same thing with WW2 pieces... its been 4 yrs, nothing has arrived

and suspect they're ALL still on backorder. [:I]

So... who's betting we'll be seeing AutoTech & Diebels again soon? [:P]

Or are you hoping only for the kit shells?

Does anyone know what kind of production run the re-releases will have? I really just want the body sets so I can actually use them and not worry about it!

Within the last year, you could buy a complete Clod or Jugg bodyset at towerhobbies.com. You had to buy a number of parts bags to get the windows, bumpers etc, but it was all available. An entire Jugg cost about $80(US) and the Clod $60(US).
