Frog Universal joints & wheel adaptors

Hi everyone,

 I know the discussion of converting old Frog/Blackfoot/Monster beetle cars over to the re-re frog "dog-bone" set-up has already been discussed, but i was wondering if anyone else here on TC noticed the frog "universal joint kit" on the tamiyausa web site. it looks now as if those of us wanting to buy this conversion as a "kit" won't have to wait long. plus it includes universals which are a better/stonger set-up anyway, right? here's the link to view it.............

also on another note, tamiya also seems to be coming out with another kit to allow the use of  modern hex-type rear rims on the 5-pin style cars. i know we all seem to be getting along just fine using the HPI adaptors, but these trick aluminum bits look sooooooo cool! check'em out......

no prices posted on the site yet, but it kinda seems like tamiya is looking after us "time-warp" guys by releasing modern hop-ups afterall!! just thought i'd share this info with everyone! i did a forum search and hadn't seen any topics on these yet!?!?

I saw those parts appear on Tamiya's site a while ago and was pleasantly surprized as well. I think it would be awesome if Tamiya would create their own version of some of the vintage Team CRP, Parma and You-G parts that were sold in the 80's (chrome 3-piece wheels, aluminum nerf bars, oil-filled shocks, lightweight axels, etc). Yeah, it might degrade the sale price of the custom parts I have found on Ebay, but it would be so much better if these items were easy to acquire.
