The TNX is only available in Nitro, if you want a Tamiya electric truck then you are pretty much limited to the TXT-1 or a Wild Dagger derivative, both are dual motor trucks, are very durable and can be extensively hop-up. If you want to jump and bash your best bet would be the Wild Dagger trucks as they are lighter, faster and cheaper than the TXT-1. Other non-Tamiya trucks might also be worth a look at include the E-Maxx [V], the Kyosho Twin Force and the rumored HPI Savage electric.

I suggest a twin detonator. It's basicly a Wild Dagger renamed. You can put E-Maxx tires/wheels on it with adapters and you can get a dual motor ESC and use the E-maxx 550s or stronger motors if you want. The only thing you need to figure is how to mount a 2nd battery because the Maxx is 14.4V (2 packs)while the Twin Detonator is 7.2V. It'll be a lot lighter than an E-maxx and should be able to kick it's butt.

I wont be junping alot really. The txt-1 sounds good! Reckon ill be able to pull wheelies with that? Dunno why i wanna. just looks cool.

What didn't like my Twin Detonator suggestion???

Keep in mind that the TLT-1 is SMALL. It's 1/18 scale where as the Detonator and the E-Maxx are 1/10 scale.

At the very least go buy a copy of RC Car Action or R/C car magazine, as both have reviews of the TLT-1 in them this month.

Also, If you want something that is cheap and will pull wheelies, then the Midnight Pumpkin is GREAT at that and can still be bought from Tower Hobbies for $100(US). That's cheaper than the TLT-1 or the Detonator.

If you are looking for speed, then the TXT is not setup for that purpose but as a terrain climber.

If the Twin Detonator, is your consideration, consider getting Novak's Super Rooster which is good for up to 2 15T motor.....If you are considering the E-Maxx or Twin force, a different setup would be to use 2 low turn ESCs and use a Y-Connector to the receiver.

How about something like this, a long wheelbase hybrid truck based on Juggernaut2/TXT-1 with 2 huge motors running 14.4volts through E-maxx electrics. This thing wheelies on command!

I was toying with the idea of putting it on ebay.

i think youve read TXT-1 as "tlt-1" there!

the txt-1 is also 1/10 scale, stands taller than an emaxx and in my opinion looks alot better.

its slow because its a monster truck i gess, its not simply a buggy with big wheels[8D]

Stefan is right about the wild dagger/twin detonator this truck is a real beast off road. bearings are a must tho the bearing set for a tl-01 should do. i also made my own shock towers to fit 4" C.V.A's and fitted two 13doubles motors. daves king blackfoot/simons mindnight pumpkin/furrys jack russell nothing can cach it in my local park. and with the 18th? tooth pinion fitted it has so much tourqe it can out pull a txt/clod any day (whell my mates new txt anyway) and it climbs hills better at speed too (not top hevy you see!) but its no rock crawller like the txt/clod. also if you fit 3" C.V.A's and mount them lower on the arms and fit two pairs of dnya blaster rears along with the 20 (or is it 21?)tooth pinion and lower the body down (use wild willy 2 front/rear bodymounts) youll have a fast and i mean fast) twin motor on road monster too! look out tl-01's here i come!
