I suppose this is the final look? Let's go Shizuoka Show this weekend!

(from Rakusei model, could be the 1st F350 pre-sale ad in Japan, RC Champ may follow soon then...)

Wow, what a colour choice! Well, everybody is up to custom paint jobs anyway. The red shocks look nice IMO. The exhausts and axles seem to have changed to chrome/silver now.

But most important:

24.000 YEN = 169 EUR = 217 USD = 115 GBP

This looks much nicer than the proto, that last little bit of development has made it look awesome. Am looking forward to finding out how soft those tyres are for crawling and to see how easy this will be to mod. This has to be a massive bargain for £115!!

Posted

Please noted that is the 43% off special early bird price and that I

believed applied to local purchase (within Japan).  But ofcourse

one can infer from this the approxmiated street-price of the item.

That IS a bargain/low price,

Preordered mine for around Euro 250 (ehm, 38800 yen out of the top of my head), somebody else also noticing a big diffrence? :)

The final version does look good!. But, I stay with my opionion, toss the rollbar and paint olive-drab :)

or .. or ... or ..

Nice to see they kept the underside protector and the -strange- diff's, do you guys also see the rod going from the rear wheels to the front?

Maybe still 4x4x4 ?

That truck looks great but I have to wonder whether or not they lifted my paint scheme from my Juggerlux

Price seems too cheap, I bet it will cost a bit more

Now we just need the Tamiya USA page updated to show all the angles on this beastie!

From the link, the list price is 39800 yen.  Not as bad as I thought, but wondering what it will cost here in the UK after tax etc...  [:(]

yes shodog i think they may have been a little influenced.

I really cant wait to get one of these hope the Mfu unit is not to long in coming too.

If that is a special price in japan cant a member who lives ther edo a bulk buy for us all and take a cut to make it workth there while?

Well the wheels are off the Isuzu Mu Type X so are stock touring car size therefore the tyres are a similar size to XC BFGs or Goodyears.

That is absolutely the best new release Tamiya in the last couple of years !  Just when I had lost all hope, Tamiya pulls out all the stops and gives me something to look forward too [Y] !  Tamiya, I promise I will buy at least two of these and all the genuine Tamiya Hop-ups [:D].

Shodog - see if you can get some royalty checks from Mr Tamiya for the paint scheme [;)].

The boss of the UK Tamiya distributor is in Japan at the moment, I emailed him the day before he left to point out they needed a competitive price on this one....  lets hope it's heeded...

COOL!!! This is why we LOVE having shops linked to TC.  Looking forward to an update as and when.

They junked the the front bull bar though.... [:^)]

Hopefully it will show up as a hop up option similar to the semi truck bull bar

That would be nice if they did!! But knowing what The Hobby Co. are like it's more than likely going to be the max price they can possibly charge!!

I agree.  When are we going to see this on tamiya.com or

tamiyausa.com again?  Or is it there now and I missed it?  (I

did see it the first time but now, where did it go??)

Agree with Stefan about the look, but I too will stay with my opionion...dually.  But I will very likely buy one and look forward to all future photo postings of original and custom detailing works.

That looks like deep blue metaliic and possibly mica silver - which is the exact same color scheme I'm painting my LunchBox at this moment!

Ah yes, now that is more like it, the devil is in the details and boy do Tamiya know how to take care of the details.

Anyone got a link to the JP sites that are offering the kit at 24,000 yen?

james.
