Whats the max motor limit for a TL01 ?

Hi guys

just wondering if theres any maximum motor limit you should use in a TL01 ive just put an 8 turn motor in my Tl01 ferrari 360 fitted with a 19tooth pinion gear and when i  ran it round the front room a couple of times i burnt my finger on the motor

So i figure theres gotta be a limit to the motor size you can fit in a TL01 without problems to get max speed and accelorasion without overheating

any idea's ????

Blankety Blank, what did you burn your finger on, ESC or Motor?

It was the motor casing as the esc was still cold no sign of heat but i only touched the motor for a split second and that was it now i have a nice shinny burnt peice of skin on my finger

I wouldn't want to go too far under a 17 turn, even then you'd want the lowest gear ratio and all the heatsinks you can fit. You could go lower but there just isn't the gear ratio options and there is a lot of rotating mass in the drivetrain so heat will be an issue.
