That’s a common question here. Maybe we need a sticky placed in some of the forums.

like this (minus the *)

example (minus the *)

will look like this:

Or you could just point to the file on your hard drive by clicking on the options tab, file attachment, add/update, when posting a message. The size has to be less than 200kb though

That would be the easiest way and no need to go find a place to host your picture first either. I didn't know about that option so thanks for letting me/us know.

edit: The picture seems to be placed at the bottom of my post. Anyway to place it where I want to without the use of the [*img] [/img]. Also the picture disappeared after I edited my post.

That's a known problem and has been reported to admin long ago. You have to add your picture again every time you edit your post.

seeing as this forum is 'educational' thread, I was wondering if someone could direct me on how to place links. The create link option doesn't seem to work for me (I'm using firefox browser, could that be the problem?!). After clicking on the create link botton, a window appears into which I copy the link and press ok, but no link is being created! Obviously I'm doing something wrong as people post links here all the time, but what is the right way??

I also use Firefox sometimes (when I’m not using Opera) and
the way I do it is to highlight/mark a piece of text that I want to be the
link. Then I click on the create link button and paste in the website I want to
link to.

Example: Futaba 4VWD

Also you can use (url)link(/url) to post links, just replace the round brackets with square ones.

Cool. Thanks for the help. I havn't had to type out a picture link like that in along time. The options tab? I would of never guessed.
