DJ: Release date - exactly, it should release within about 7 days of that date worldwide if Tamiya's plans come off.

Items: The "new releases" on their sites have been there a couple of months, the dates have changed.  There wasn't a new announcement until the page with the XB Pro Rockbuster TLT1 was added a few days ago.

Profit: Yes that has happened too  -  sorry to disappoint, after you said it'd never happen!  At least in the UK and Germany, check the German RRPs on the Dickie site, they have almost all been cut. We and Fusion have cut all our prices in the UK already, some shops are not yet able to pass on the savings though because they have old stock still at old prices or are unable/unwilling to write down the stock they have.

Future looking bright...

Which German RRPs have been cut? I see them unchanged, but already since quite some time on a lower level, anyway what counts is street price and there Germany is still significantly cheaper then UK, examples:

Top Force 130GBP without ESC in your shop, 115GBP with 17T ESC in German ebay shop.

Desert Gator 82GBP vs 66GPB etc...

I know that Tower Hobbies won't have them by late August. They never get thier new releases in stock until about a month or so after that. I am not disappointed, but I am just happy that they finally listed it on thier site with a price! That price will probably go down some when they get them in stock too! I am thinking that Tower will get them in stock in early October! But it is nice to know that you can pre-order one from Tower now!!

Well, they have been cut.  The Top Force was a limited edition that came and went before the price changes, compare the Frog for a better example.

Yes, Germany still cheaper than the UK.  Nothing WE can do about that, the German distributor will not sell to dealers outside of Germany, and clearly still charges less than the UK one.

What gets me is that you still complain that the German prices are high when they don't look much different to asia+postage to me?

Ideally, I'd like there to be ONE European distributor, one price for every dealer and effective customs control where items that should be taxed on import actually are.  Neither of which is likely to happen either!

The F350 is effecting most TC members. Some live to eat and others eat to live; some work for a living and others working is living (or something like that).  I am looking forward to seeing the finished product,  I am sure it will be amazing.

Don't really complain, although still Asia is cheaper, would even buy from Germany if I didn't dislike Dickie as much as I do and they would import all re-releases but now they force us for those kits. Like you would preffer ONE European importer (actually Dickie is called Tamiya Europe as you can see on some kits) and price, hope just it wouldn't be Dickie.

Cheers

P.S.: I can't compare Frog as its not imported to Germany, thanks to "clever" Dickie...

Looks like Tower wants to load up on all the pre orders it can, hence the August release date.  Once placed, people will probably stick it out and wait. My 2 cents...

Depending where you are, I would say the price of the new F350 should be between the 1/14 big rigs and the 1/16 tanks. I guess Tamiya USA price is to protect its retailers and I am sure one can buy it much cheaper.  For me, I will wait until I think the price has stablized.

FYI, if you order from Tower and they drop the price, they will credit your account the difference.  I've done this twice when I purchased my RC10B4 and Blackfoot Xtreme.

Tamiya have delayed the F-350 and it will not be available in Japan until the end of September. The price has also gone up a little since it was first announced. I have one on pre-order, hope it gets here before I go back to University...!

Has anyone pre-ordered their hi-lift yet..?

Rainbow Ten are listing the kit at 45,000 Yen - or 40,500 Yen if you pre-order.  In the UK that's about £185, plus shipping and import duty.

Raised some funds the other week, so I'm really tempted to pre-order it... Seems a fantastic price, I was expecting much higher.  Anyone else done the same?  Who with?  What price?

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these sweet trucks!! Driving this Hi-Lift should be very exciting!! Does anyone know any pre-release info about the kit :

Blister packs for the parts?? Or just standard "Bags In The Box"??

Also any spy shot pics of what the Box Art will look like?? ( a nice white box with colored truck like all the other 3 speeds would be cool[:D] )

Have also pre-ordered mine long time ago at RB10 and that price.

Sorry Gixer, but it seems the blister pack and white kit box times are long passed [:(]
