Hi All

Ive only just recently got into RC cars.. currently an old grasshopper, hornet, monster beetle and (cough) a couple of kyoshos.

anyway due to my small business i do on the side I am able to produce quality scaled pvc number plates.

These are printed using a dyesublimation method so they dont fade and arent effected by water.

Please take a look on ebay item no. 6066406268 for photos and a better description

These are only 1/10th scale but if you want something different then please email me on sales@tagit-tags.co.uk.

Im also going to do some nice full color custom baja beetle plates if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Do you make United States style number plates (or license plates as we call 'em)?

Hey - Good stuff!

Can you do rally plate shapes? (Other shapes besides rectangular?)

Basically  I print these on credit card pvc. You have to cut them out yourself but I normally put in line guides for cutting. So I can do any shape or size as long as it fits on the card (I try to get as many on as possible)

USA plate are diffent to uk ones as they tend to have a colour background. I can do these in colour (like the baja ones). If theres the interest for these then I will look into them., although theres 50 or so different styles.

On the other hand if you like to play with graphics you can design your own and I'll print it. I dont know pricing for postage to usa etc but its not going to be much.

Are the usa plates the same front and back? (unlike uk where front is white and back is yellow)

Any idea etc then just ask as this is still very new as I dont know what kind of demand there is.

Yes, United States. plates are the same color front and back. As a side note,

different states have different colors, and sometimes different

designs. I live in Connecticut, so our license plate design looks like

this, although we also have a more plain design.

Some states have license tags only on the rear - Florida for example.

My friend from Miami told me it was illegal to have a license tag on the front !

You see lots of decorative panels with logos, pictures etc... ( License tag size ) on the front of cars in Florida but lots also have nothing.

Rented a car over there once which was from out of state ( Might have been Maine or Michigan - not sure ) which did have license tags on both front and back.

So, maybe you might want to start offering logo / picture designs on license tags for RC modellers who want plates for a state where they don't have them on the front.

Hi all

Thanks for all the great feedback. If you can give me the size of an american plate then I can do some scaled test plates. The good think about being full colour is that I can print them on self adhesive material.

The rally ones shouldnt be a problem either although again I would need some full scale dimensions to work to.

If i can get this info then I'll do some tests ansd post back the results

thanks again

Hi there Morly

What sort of pricing will you be looking at for printing the plates.

I would be interested in printed checker plate as per the stuff they use on the land rovers. On he front wings bonnet etc. Also interested in the Camel Safari plates.

that url is useful I could probably print from that image although personally I would want to maybe change the font styles etc. I suppose it depends if you want something totally authentic or just customised to you personally.

Also Ive done a load of sand scorcher (buggy) plates which look pretty nice. Will have an ebay page up next week if anyone is interested in buying them..
