Hello All,

I just want to say how great this club is...For all the newbees reading this, join this club, If you love Tamiyas this is the place to be,it is worth every penny. I have looked at online manuals, chatted with people all over the world, requested small bits and have had many replys for great prices or even for free. But all you club veterans already know this. So this is what prompted me to write this post...I recently won an auction on German E bay, I don't speak German but I figured I could pay with paypal, no problem right, wrong. I failed to read the auction properly (One shouldn't bid at 3:00 am...LOL) anyway the fellow wanted a bank transfer, which wouldn't be a problem but I live in the USA and that costs at least $35 usd....I asked a fellow Club member "Theo" who speaks english and lives in Germany for help. He emailed the fellow, paid him the money and all I had to do was pay Theo back the money through paypal. Theo was willing to help a complete stranger because we are fellow club members. So I just wanted everyone to know that this is a great club for many reasons....And I wanted to publicly thank Theo for all his help....Final note....If your not a member, join, it is well worth it....I'm a member for life!!!!!

I have to say that this message board is different than any other board out there I belong to. You really feel a sense of comradirie among it's members. I have helped a few members by reposting auction wins and tower hobby buys. A few in the UK have helped me out on parts and reposting Auctions wins from there. I think it all goes to show that we are truly nuts when it comes to R/C Cars.

[:D][:D] As a newbie to this site and having already purchased some items from some members via the trade room, I can also say that this site and its members are an invaluable source of info and help. The sense of friendlyness is fantastic. [;)]

Everyone and everything is great!!!! [:D][:D][:D]

In the spirit of the warm and fuzzy feeling that's going on in this thread, I'd just like to take the opportunity to thank my old mate Cavscout for sending me four packs of NIP Schumacher Cat front tyres gratis (that's free!). He didn't have to, and could probably have sold or traded them, but he knew that I could use them, so just sent them to me! What a nice guy... can't believe he doesn't have a showroom here yet... ;-)

Yeah, I got to say, TC is one of the things I look forward to every night after work. The only bad thing is that all you guys live half way across the world, me being in the U.S. and the most we can do is chat and email! Alex, I had to send you those tires, what with you and your Schumacher fetish[:D] But seriously, I mean, incredibly seriously, I was chatting with Alex one night, told him I was fixing up a car for my son, and I was trying to find the prop shaft. He said he may have one, and so I kind of forgot about it...next week, I open the mail, and look what just came from Australia. I vote that everybody has to fly to the U.S. next year for the Snetteron (sorry if it is spelled wrong) equivalent?

I live in the USA as well....It is funny but I talk to some of my overseas Tamiya friends more than I talk to my friends here....HopefullY I can meet some of my pals if me and my wife get to go to Snetton next year...Remember Rich (BiggusDitchus) you owe me a pint...LOL[:P]...I just love this club[:D]!!!!!
