Looks like a lot of people were out with their Tamiya's this weekend in the sun!

Damage report for me is a broken Front upper arm and stripped steering servo on my King Blackfoot (Tyres snagged wall and servo saver is glued up to get rid of slop [:$]  )

Buckled wheel and body damage to my drift car (drifting round a concrete bollard, chucking it in at high speed is asking for trouble...)

Didn't have time for Tamiya this weekend - and weather was far too hot, anyways...

Might get out with them tonight if I've got time, still need to find

time to buy the tools to do the intended modifications to the M04 and

Pumpkin, too...

I snapped a balljoint on my Clod although was able to replace it with a spare I had. There's also some serious gear slip in the rear 'box of my 959 that needs investigating.

Had a great Tamiya wekend with the first drive ever for my Footwork F1. I cleaned it up and replaced the gears quite some time ago.

But the first testdrive didnt happen until this saturday when i found a good big parking lot with almost new asphalt and limited amount of debries.

It has a sporttuned motor and boy, was it fast. And when you let go of the throttle, it just kept rolling forever. Learned that braking is a must driving these cars. A very different experience, that everyone should try.

Also took my 850BTCC with me, and it was just as fun. After a few laps  i could begin to push harder in the corners. Grip was very good with new radial tires. Too bad that i was alone and had no one to drive against. Speed was good, but compared to the F1 it was lacking a bit. I feel a slight upgrade comming along for the Volvo. I have a NIP Touringcar aluminium heatsink ready to use with a hotter motor and some faster gearing. We´ll have to see what i´ll do.

King Cab was out again also. But the place were i use to drive isn´t as good as last year. Fun nevertheless.

Regarding broken parts, i just damaged the Tamia plug connector on the battery i had in the F1. Some insulation also got worn off one cable from touching the ground the same way as the connetor did (the ground is very near on those F1:s)

Yeasterday evening I met up with my mate Andreas witch has a radar gun. He also has a modefied Landmax witch does around 100 km/h... I was there to test my newly acquired Novak 5,5 R in my B4.

Elektro cars are much faster to get running than nitro cars if you are well prepared it is just switching on two buttons. Before Andreas was driving, plug issue, I had misjudged the parking lot to be even bigger than it actually was... A roundabout in the ditch popped one cvd and a suspension shaft out and bent them bout slightly and also broke the suspension shaft carrier... While I was removing eight screws and doing a little bending. Andreas was going FAST! Then suddenly there where more noise than speed... The motor was working well but something els was wrong...

I got some glue from Andreas and did a very temporary fix of the suspension shaft carrier. I had to be extremely careful now. Andreas discovers that it not was the clutch but the rear diff that was broken. I commented that a main gear for my buggy had cost me 2,50$. I also said that I was ready to go but it probably would not last the battery so Andreas took out he's radar. The highest result we got was 38 MPH/h = 60 km/h. I was now trying to get longer and longer runs before I hit the radar, coming out of the turns with speed. Needless to say, it happens again. In over 50 km/h I hit the bank and some rocks. We found the wheel a completely different place than the car. Now the damper mount screw also had broke together with the rear skid plate. The only pictures we took was of my newly acquired TL01 Escort witch I bought from Monty, witch by the way are a Tamiya car:-)

Ooh! I like to see a pic of that

WRC, I would like to see a thread on accomplishments also.  This might spur people to get off their rump and do some projects

Here is that bumper I built on Sunday, this truck is built to be a runner. Next will be a trailer hitch.[;)]

Notice the U-bolt elliminators I made for the axles, gives much better ground clearance and looks clean in my opinion.

That looks vvery cool mike.  I like how you milled it to fit the license plate.  Where is it bolting too the frame?  The stock mounts would put it too far out from the body

Like this, the brackets were what took the most time to make, but

everything is tight and it holds the bumper up real close to the body.

It's not the best photo but you should be able to get the idea.

I'm hoping to make a receiver hitch that will mount to the bottom of the brackets.

i managed to break a few things, i managed to size up my wildone front shockers, i managed to cook a sport tuned motor in my stadium blitzer, and managed to strip a drive gear in carson attack but it was great fun breaking them, not my main aim but i enjoy fixing them anyway ;o)

Looks like some of you really did damage your car pretty bad but i just nearly finished my first vintage tamiya car over the weekend. It just needs a few more parts and a bit more paint.

Hope you like it.

hmm Marcus I cant see any damage? could you point it out,

Surprisingly I didnt do that much damage at weekend

FG is non functional... making a horrendous noise thing its the clutch

3speeds transfer box isnt working... think pinion is loose

apart from that they are all running ok,

pulled apart an OLD QD wrangler jeep that the steering went on a few years back, found a cut wire, fixed that, but now it wont charge, being a QD its all on one board, which i'm no good with, so have no ideal what to look for. all the wires seem secure etc, so i'll take it to my LHS sometime i can be bothered.

Due to unglued tyres on my tt-01, my rims are now a lil worse for wear, with the hot weather making the tyres ultra grippy and way soft, so they keep coming off the rims.

No other damage.

Damage, yes indeed!

one lost shock and a broken off towing hook on the maiden voyage of the Leopard 2A6 , luck was that i took the showroom pictures first, and then went for a good "rub in run"

Those things are a blast to drive!

the dust in front of the tank is the "spray" of sand after the barrel hit the sand at full trottle <oeps!>
