Saw this a couple weeks ago when another TC member showed me. I'm kinda hoping this means Tamiya might re-release the full Fox kit as well. Of course I recently bought a vintage Fox kit for $$$$, but a re-release would mean that several Fox fans could have a runner again.

These TamTechs are still pretty cool though. The Frog, Hornet and Fox are all excellent. Kinda wonder why they haven't made a TamTech GrassHopper?

More pictures of the Tamtech Fox can be found by following the link in the first post in this thread.

RC-champ.co.jp has these on their webpage now, but I’m not sure if it’s just a preorder or if it’s already available.

Man, that Fox body is better looking for sure. If they make a mini Blackfoot or LunchBox, I will not be able to resist.

I really like this Tamtech Fox, but I've heard they need a bit of money spent to make them any good. Can't decide between this or a Losi Mini-T.... Anyone got both?

The Losi Mini-T was a good design, but you can't ignore that its pretty old now and also the Tamtech has higher specs (full ball beaings, ball diff, adjustable arms etc) http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/168812.aspx http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/155300.aspx

You don't need much money to spend on it, just some little dampers (I used $25 GPM ones for the Mini-T) and a hotter brushed motor which doesn't cost a fortune. In my showroom you can see some movies of it in action.

Cheers Theo - I read the oople review as well, but brushless is going a bit far with a 1:16 in my view. Is the standard ESC up to the job of a hotter motor? Is that video of yours with the hotter motor in?

Yes, also thought the same. I used the Tamiya black motor which is also not too fast, but from the specs of its ESC it should handle also hotter brushed motors, want also to test one in the future, only reverse is pretty lame/slow then.

Cheers
