On the same subject:

Will the Hound be offered in an XB trim as well as a kit version?

From the background in the picture with the purple one you can see a kit box, but can't deciphere anything else.

That Gravel Hound looks pretty much like a TB02 to me too, just with longer arms. Can't believe they share no parts?

Tamiya usually re-uses existing stuff. This looks like another touring car chassis fitted with long arms to me, a posher, more upmarket off roader than a TL01B based one.

Anyway, to say they share no parts is a bit silly WillyChang as the drive cups, bearings, gears, screws, suspension pins etc, etc are all the same as TB02 [;)] (any many other cars too)

I must confess I like it. Don't like the open chassis as it will just get very mucky but the overall shape is nice, looks like it'll perform quite well and there will be the usual hop-up carbon upper and lower decks, shock towers etc.

TB Evo chassis looks gorgeous, I'm always a sucker for anodised ali parts [:D][:P]

The winner for me must be that Porsche GT, how sexy is that?! [8D][8D][8D]

Trust me on this... I held a Gravel Hound in March earlier this year.

The dogbones are giant plastic chunks and the rest of the drivetrain

is unique, not borrowed from anywhere recognisable. Has U-shape

inner hingepin like TL01B & TA01/02.

Have spent the last 72hrs staring at a TB02's innards. Yep pretty

definitely nothing shared with the Gravel Hound apart from 3x10 screws. [:D]

I wish they'd just stick to one size of normal dogbone instead of bringing out these new fangled ones! Makes it a right pain to buy replacement parts. What was wrong with steel dobones anyway? surely the plastic ones don't last any longer? just lighter in weight?

A "retrospective" back to their Falcon roots?? [:o)]

Can't say Tamiya ain't nostalgic...

Incidently TB02 has new unique dogbones too, of 42mm.

No other car ever used 42mm dogbones before.

EvoIV has all-new suspension arms & knuckles - wow!!

Can't wait!

Red Gravel Hound is the XB and the purple one is the kit. Tamiya has listed a number of hop-ups for the kit, anyone have any idea what the are?

I've seen a pic of the chassis somewhere, looks just like the standard TLT but with the stick mounted lengthways along the top of the chassis.

Did anyone else notice that Mercedes 190 has window stickers like the reissue BMW M3. I thought the original 190 had clear windows. Maybe Tamiya are planning to reissue the 190?
