Not entirely sure what you mean by rare as most are found fairly

regularly on Ebay or even in online stores (like the ones here on

TamiyaClub).

A few of the trucks are more difficult to find like the metallic

versions.  Unless you like chrome trucks these are the only ones

I'm aware of.  I just bought a King Hauler and Merc and two

trailers within the last 9 months from Stella Models online store and

they have more....

Best,

Hey,

there are 2 rig kits out there quite hard to find:

Chroom king hauler

Chroom aeromax

All others are easy to get anywere

Tanks, all non multi-function kits are hard to get, but the Leopard and Gepard are the hardest to find, and doing quite a load of cash on ebay IF you can find one.

Thats about it !

For tanks id say the computerized sherman is the rarest. Also there was a limited run of factory assembled King Tiger sets a few years ago.

The first Leopard and Gepard get more attention as they are only one version while there have been about 7 versions of the sherman (the 70's versions however are made from different moulds and some have metal tracks)

For trucks, while the conversion is made by another company the kit was sold on the shelf as a Tamiya with a computer print out label on the box so if felixble the Mercedes 1850 with Nitro Engine.

a 1850 with a nitro? as a kit ? cool ;)

that would be about the only thing to get me into it.

Yes, akihabar.... (ehhmm.) is very correct, the computerised sherman is a rear find, to bad i could not afford it several months ago!

There are some more pre-build tamiya tanks out there, but brought out by evil carson , so can't be considered "real tamiya" (imho)

Eek, lol :) actually, there is only one twin brother known to men kind " Desert Betty ", ehm.. ok.. the name makes it a sister ;)  It's the leo without the gizmo's in the movie. And, no fear.. i only employ the troops to hunt rabbit or shoot nikko's

The metallic knight hauler can be bought about anywhere.

The Volvo Globetrotter was just discontinued (information from the tamiyatruckin e-mail loop, reputedly straight from a source at Tamiya), so it may be rare soon. The chrome-body rigs are definitely worth collecting, too.
