Skycar would be interesting but I want to know more about the R/C porch you've seen! What features did it have, full function sunblinds, seats and a BBQ? [;)]

Pushrod,

Although your grammar is quite top-notch, I think that he meant Por...

lol,

Forget it[8-|],

Let's try again...

Hey Mr.P!

I got a porch here that just needs a body shell and it's ready to go- interested? It has dual aluminum doors and lots of space for hop-ups.  Let me know what you have and maybe we could work out a trade if shipping cost isn't too prohibitive?[Y][;)]

Hey Allanto, did you get your truck yet? You sound like you really need something to occupy time.

Is it hot where you live?  It's 90 Farenheit here and going for a swim before my brain melts any further![:)][:D][<:o)]

Sounds promising, does it come with a stone floor or wood? If the condition is good and woodworm is not present I would certainly be interested in a trade. I have an R/C bus shelter and dog kennel that I would be happy to part with.

Porches are nothing.  where it's at is decks  Nothing impresses the women folk quite like having a big Deck

Not only do women folk like a big Deck they also enjoy a big Deck.

All men think they have a big Deck but most only have a a small deck and never admit is hardly used because there is really nothing special about his Deck.

LOL ! , What the badword has this post turned into, can we please get back to the idea of an RC SkyCar

OK, back to RC skycars...

ISTR seeing a video on somewhere of some radio controlled

speedboat/catamaran things that were powered by nitro push-props on the

back.  Additionally they were steered by rudders and had ailerons

on the rear of the full-length bridges holding the outrigger hulls.

In shape they looked a little similar to a Skycar.  And here's the crunch...  they actually flew - and very well, too!

Across water they were wickedly fast, but once they got up enough speed

they could lift right off and fly through the air.  The principal

of flight was not so much "allow sufficient airspeed across the

air-plane in order to give lift" as "attach a big enough motor to a

small enough object and it will fly." - very much the same concept as

the Moller Skycar which, as you can see from the pics, doesn't have

wings.

It wouldn't take a lot of work to mod one of those flying catamaran

things into a skycar replica - OK, it wouldn't run on tarmac unless you

were to fit wheels underneath (which may affect its flight

performance), but it will at least fly [:)]

If anyone can find the link to the videos, that would be cool
