Top Force Evo (+) Project...

Well, it all started as a Blazing Star (Manta Ray chassis) and that just wasn't enough, so after life as a "TA02 Top Force" for a while, it now nears completion as a "Top Force Evo Plus"... after more work than I ever thought (it's most certainly easier, and less expensive, to just buy an Evo).  I run/race an Evo, this will be my basher... I'll probably keep the Blazing Star body because I like the profile but do have another Evo shell and decal set should the need arise.

Titanium screws, aluminium ball diffs, full universals, carbon chassis, Hi Cap dampers, Evo front springs, carbon gear shafts, 02h motor, stainless suspension shafts, turnbuckles, speed tuned gear set, sealed bearings, aluminium prop shaft, c-hubs, knuckles, gearbox tray, the list is endless.  I don't even want to think how much this cost me.

But, hey, I'm happy, real happy... First run tomorrow...

Where is the TF EVO Upperplate though??!

Does no-one make alloy arms for the TF?

Underplate?  The Lexan underside cover?  If that's what you mean I haven't painted it yet, I attached an old one for a run today... if that's not what you mean, I'd be interested...

Alloy arms aren't my thing for a runner, even if I knew where to get some (and I don't).  They tend to transfer all shock forces to the chassis and bend the hing pins or crack the gearboxes which is not on my list of desirable attributed for a buggy! The plastic arms are a dime a dozen and lighter than the alloy so I'm happy to run them.  I had an almost all alloy TA02 touring car and kept cracking the inboard plastic parts...

djmcnz- I Said UPPERPLATE.. The carbon upper-brace is not a genuine TF EVO one.would be the cherry on the cake in my oppinion.

lol, I should have paid more attention... I'd love an original TF Evo upper plate... but I don't have a spare one to install - up for a swap if you know somebody with one?

Has to be done... it'll be a runner that will inevitably become a basher... after putting this much time and effort into it I need to reward myself!

Nice, reminds me of my Top Force which I'm trying to converting into an evo. Mine is a bit further, but i've been trying to get it there for ages now. I've got a spare upper deck for an evo along with a couple of shock towers if you want them

Post pics of your project too... when you say a "bit further" I'm interested, what else have you done? I think I only need the N parts... which I'll probably skip, and the Evo ball cups, which I think I'll skip...

Sorry about the pic quality, they were taken with my phone. I take back the comment that mine is futher than yours. I'm waiting for some evo wheels and screw sets, which I should be getting soon. I haven't got all original parts, I put in a couple of hop-ups that were available back then, such as the RW racing carbon fibre shaft. I would've had a new decal set had someone not outbid me []
